Davos is out for blood next episode, the look he gave Mel... in the promo it shows him bringing her forth to Jon and Sansa. What do you guys think will happen? She brought Jon back from the dead, but i still think he would want her to pay for the crime of burning a child

She has to pay for what she did to that sweet little girl. Shireen died because Mel is bad at her job and that's no ok.

She brought Jon back from the dead, but i still think he would want her to pay for the crime of burning a child As much as I love Carice, I want Jon to allow Davos to execute her. She has to pay for what she did to that sweet little girl. Shireen died because Mel is bad at her job and that's no ok. I just don't know how I feel about this one yet. You both have good points to consider. On one hand Melisandre brought back Jon so obviously she's not all evil. Davos begged her to do it, so he knows she has power and has to respect that. But on the other hand, Melisandre convinced Stannis to do terrible things and he let it get into his brain and ruin his claim to the throne really. It's true what Davos said. Stannis defeated himself and not the Boltons defeating him. Killing Shireen was unforgivable. It's such a wildcard because after what happened during the Winterfell battle I have no idea what Jon's going to be like now. He really lost a little more humanity in that ending so he may just let Davos execute her. Then again that last conversation Jon had with Melisandre was also telling. She lets him know she has no power and only does what the God gives her and that he gave her Jon... the only thing she's done right amongst all the wrongs.

i think what makes this hard is that Mel will burn anything she thinks will help in the end game (defeating the others) and now her belief in R'hllor is stronger than ever since he just proved that her vision of walking the battlements of Winterfell was true. So for this reason i wouldn't trust to keep her around. But they may need her at some point, but i wouldn't know for what.
I don't think Jon has changed, again he went through a terrible ordeal. But him beating up ramsay was just pure battle rage.

I don't think Melisandre dies just yet. I think she'll have further uses/purpose in the war against the White Walkers. She was basically the only person not at the Wall who ever mentioned them for years so I can't see her getting knocked off just before they arrive. Plus, remember she has to meet Arya again.

If either Jon or Davos leads to Mel's death I'll despise both of them unconditionally.

I don't want Mel to die. I know what she did to Shireen was horrific, but I get her reasoning. If Shireen's death saved all of Westeros and millions of other children, would it be worth it? There are 2 ways to look at it, the evil sacrifice of an innocent child or condemn millions to death. As wrong as it is, she saw it as saving millions of lives. I'm not sticking up for Mel, but I'm trying to read the situation through her perspective.
I don't think Mel is an evil person per se. In fact I think there is the potential for there to be a lot of good in her. She just goes about things the wrong way. I doubt that she will die as Jon and Dany have parallels and have a Red Priestess is something they both have in common. I don't think Jon has ever killed a woman in a non combative situation (I doubt Ned did either). Can Jon even go through with the execution of a woman? I also think Mel will have something up her sleeve to get her out of it. If she says that Jon wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for Shireen's sacrifice, it puts Davos in a sticky situation.
Mel is far too interesting a character to let die yet.
Something else intrigued me, why is Davos asking Jon? Shouldn't he be asking Sansa? She in theory would be the next in line to Winterfell. Even if it were inheritance as Ramsey's widow. Sansa should be Lady of Winterfell and Wardeness of the North. Technically, Jon was fighting on behalf of Sansa. So why is Davos asking Jon to make the decision?

Well, Mel is Jon's follower now, so I can see why Davos would bring the matter to him.

I don't want Mel to die. I know what she did to Shireen was horrific, but I get her reasoning. If Shireen's death saved all of Westeros and millions of other children, would it be worth it? So why is Davos asking Jon to make the decision? Mel is a really interesting character. We know so little about her that it makes her so fascinating. I don't think she's good or evil. I see why she burned Shireen, but I was more bothered by the fact that she was grinning when she died. She did a horrifying thing to try and save the world, but she still enjoyed it on a sick level. Whatever her reasoning, she needs to face justice and I truly believe that Jon will execute her. She might have something up his sleeve and Jon has to decide if he's going to betray Mel or Davos. Davos is most likely asking Jon, because he knows Jon and Jon was the commander of this camp. No one sees Sansa as the leader. Unfortunately.

Well, Mel is Jon's follower now, so I can see why Davos would bring the matter to him. However it was a matter relating to Stannis. I think the ace up her sleeve is that Stannis agreed to it. The fact that she lived and Stannis died in battle is proof that he agreed to it. Davos would also easily believe Selyse would agree to it.

She can put the blame on stannis. But with Mel out of the equation, stannis would never ever in a million years consider burning his daughter. So I think its both their faults.
