Big shoutout to Qyburn who went from disgraced former-Maester slumming at Harrenhal to Hand of the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms in 3 short seasons. Tyrion isn't the only one sporting a shiny new pin this episode.
That dude should give Littlefinger a call to talk about how to really climb the status ladder in Westeros.

I can't wait to rewatch this episode. It is the best finale since 1x10. I knew I would like it, but I didn't expect to love it THIS much. Yeah, the end of this story is in good hands.

Also Dany giving Tyrion the Hand of the Queen pin. That was so lovely. I also liked it when he told her that other men will fall in love with her and basically stared at her in that "I think I love you sort of way". It was awesome.

One of the biggest issues I have and this episode really confirmed it is that the show has a problem with Sophie and Kit. There's a lot of natural sexual chemistry between those two. When Jon and Sansa are not at odds with each other, it is really hard to view them as the half siblings that they are meant to think they are.
Or is it just my imagination?

Also, 3 cheers to (most likely) our last scene set in Essos on the show. All-Westeros, all-the-time now baby!

So Arya and Melisandre are both at loose ends. I'm guessing that Arya will end up slotting into the LS role if there is a LS role after Walder's death. Would a team of Arya, Sandor, and Melissandre be a good thing?
Bran didn't attempt to cross the Wall, but we haven't figured out if the Wall is safe from his attempted crossing.
I really wasn't expecting Margary or Tommen to die this episode. Both were big shocks. Has Dany been getting news from Kings Landing, because her army is totally overkill, especially now that the Tyrell's and Dornish support her.
LF has one more play up his sleeve, right? I wonder what that is. Does he believe in the white walkers? Does Sansa, for that matter?
I do think Sansa is unhappy to be sidelined again, but I also think that is reasonable. A bad engagement and two bad marriages have taught her that the role of a wife is pretty awful and very vulnerable, and she wants power in her own right. Also, Jon hasn't been demonstrating particular competence as the Stark figurehead (not that she has either). I think Sansa also recognizes that her and Jon just aren't a stable leadership team that can share power, Eventually Jon is going to want to marry her off to a northern lord to secure an alliance and get her out of Winterfell. Or he'll just sideline her and avoid her.
The chains in the maester library - what did they mean? Remembrance of dead Maesters, or are they sitting there waiting to be earned?

i think the chains are just to keep the books locked up but i like that idea.
I think Sansa has been forgiven by a lot of the audience. She apologised to Jon for not being honest with him and showed the qualities in her that are good, like being happy for Jon and basically approving him to lead the North. She knows how this works, and i think deep down she did want to be the Lady in Winterfell. And Jon would have definitely given her that, i liked that when he stood up he looked for her approval. She knows her word still has power and is content with it for now.
I think that talk earlier between them, and the crowning scene was a parallel to Catelyn and Robb. I think this time they'll work together though. Sansa is going to try hard not to fall into LF's little traps and i think she is worried. Firstly for what he might do to Jon and secondly that he might have said things Sansa agrees with. I think she will try gain favour of Royce next season and get rid of LF. At least this is what i think she should do.

When Sam entered the library all I could think about was Harry Potter. Also, did you guys notice that the circle, medal bands in the opening sequence are hung from the tiop of the library. Holy shit, you're right.

When I saw it I was like "holy fuck, that's the thing from the opening sequence." I'm not that great at picking those kinds of details but I totally noticed that.

I wonder what Lyanna called Jon. She named him but it wasn't Jon. I've always been in the Aemon camp.
Also we now have confirmation that Howland Reed is not the only other living person who knows about Jon.

As I said, King's Landing was the best part of the episode and I had major chills during ToJ. But this episode has soooo many PERFECT moments. - Dany giving Tyrion the honour of being her hand - The way Olenna owned the Sand Snakes, telling them how dumb they are. This was totally D&D admitting on a meta level that they fucked up these characters/the storyline. I love it and the scene was good. - Sansa not reacting as her haters predicted + that lovely scene in which Sansa and Jon smile because winter is here. - The scene between Jon, Mel and Davos was so intense and SO well-acted. Amazing. - Oldtown was lovely. "You are a wizard, Sam!" #FirstDayInHogwarts They absolutely knocked it out of the park with this one and I won't shut up about it for at least 2 days. Sorry.

Cersei's costume was absolutely sick, like I want to wear it (if I had her body and framt. I'm sadly way to petite for it).
