You do realize that everything that happened after the Stark forces got encircled is just a dream, right? Jon didn't become a KitN, this is what actually happened: It's all really been a dream since the Blackwater I thought...

I don't think Jon will die. Most likely there will be some kind of "there must always be a Night King" and Jon must become a White Walker so he can save the world. Then he leaves to the Lands of Always Winter alone, or maybe with Ghost, if he's still alive. Tbh I'm more scared of Jon or Dany or both (ugh) getting the IT in the end than them dying... I would be ok with a sacrifice type ending for Jon as much as it would make me sad. GRRM did say it would be bittersweet so I take it we're going to lose some beloved main heroes and others will survive to go on. I never had any illusions of a happy-together ending. I have always held out hope that the Iron Throne would be melted to a metal puddle when Cersei burns down King's Landing, but since they had her burn down the sept, I'm not sure they'll go for the entire city unless she tries to and Jaime has to stop her the same way he stopped Aerys for the poetic symmetry angle. Regardless, I don't know if the vision Daenerys had of the burnt/ash/snow throne room had is true or not. I hope it is and that she has to come to terms with the fact her ancestors rulership ways are gone and she forges a new beginning as she promised Yara (and probably Ellaria and Olenna too). That new beginning would be independent kingdoms allied against the White Walkers. When people like Dany, Varys, Jaime or Tyrion learn that WW are real, they better give a good scene where someone tells them. Not offscreen like happened with Sansa, and not like "true enemy brings the storm" what Jon told the northern lords or "the real enemies fight against all living" or something like that what Beric and Thoros told Sandor before he joined BwB.

Not offscreen like happened with Sansa, and not like "true enemy brings the storm" what Jon told the northern lords or "the real enemies fight against all living" or something like that what Beric and Thoros told Sandor before he joined BwB. Well veering it back on-topic a bit with Jon Snow, I have always seen him as more of an ambassador of sorts rather than a Lord or King. He's seen both sides of the struggle and successfully won over the wildlings as well as the northern houses so it makes sense he should be the one to begin setting up some sort of 'summit' between the north and the southern houses sometime next season. I think that will be his main focus since he's the one who faced down the Night King eye-to-eye and fought them, he knows what needs to happen to lead all of the various factions together. I too hope the reality of the White Walkers is done in person and not off-screen. I felt they rushed things a bit this past season not even having Jon Snow's resurrection or discussion of the White Walkers with Sansa. I realize they had a lot to cram in but it felt wrong not to have Sansa supportive of or giving her thoughts on either of those massive topics.

Out of the main characters, Jon is my favourite. I think it is because there is a sense of innocence about him. I'm mainly talking show Jon. I can't remember if he's like that in the books as it is a long time since I read them and I can't re-read them yet. He's a boy in the position of a man. Harder to portray on screen by a 29 year old. He just about gets away with it. He gets the big picture, but he isn't worldly enough to fully grasp the finer details. He's not very politically astute. He's led a fairly sheltered life in that sense because it wasn't something he would need to know. Maybe naive is a better word. Not sure. Sansa is far more worldly than Jon. He needs Sansa to protect him from Littlefinger.
Another point about Jon. During Battle of the Bastards, all of the arrows missed him. I believe this was intentional to show that he has some sort of protection.I think that there is something now magical about him. His resurrection was about him cheating death. Beric can still die, but Mel didn't use the same magic as Thoros. She did some type of ritual, which makes me wonder if he has an invisible coat of armour.
Jon's resurrection also signified his transition to becoming a man. I'm still not convinced on that score. We haven't seen enough yet.
I expect season 7 to be more of a character development season for Jon as opposed to the battles. It has been a while since we've had that for Jon, and considering his new situation, it is required. For the last couple of seasons it has been a steamroller of large events which have highlighted aspects of his character. I think the audience now need to be more engaged with what Jon's character is now about. Although there are less episodes, I think that due to the compacted stories, we will see far more of him in season 7 than before.

Well, Lyanna was beautiful and Rhaegar was apparently pretty easy on the eyes.
Oh let's face it. Kit Harington is pretty dang cute.
