This could possibly be killer Spin-off material ... like GoT meets Dr. Who. "The Time Travels of Brandon Stark" That might be a little too crazy. But we could probably see something similar in the Bran does something he isn't suppose to and that is what has lead them all to be there in the first place. I don't think he skinchanged Aerys but there might be something more there. Maybe. Vision or such that were sent to him that drove him crazy, same could have been done to Bran the Builder. Or something out there like that, for which there is some established story. Yeah I was just joking, mostly. It would be hard to do that well onscreen but it would be a great way to write a collection of stories... not that George needs anymore on his plate, haha. I've always liked the theories people come up with about his visions and time travel and even influencing history but I never took too much of it seriously.

But I don't think it's to the extent that some people take it to be. Like Hodor, it's something small but it had larger consequences to it in the end. It's like a butterfly effect.

io9.gizmodo.com/king-arthur-actor-was-almost-on-game-of-thrones-1795189823I didn't know Charlie Hunnam was offered a guest spot on Game of Thrones but had to turn it down due to conflicts with his filming schedule. I wonder what part they offered him? If it was a 'guest spot' it wouldn't have been a new regular role (like Euron) so something much smaller I guess. He said he wants to try again for Season 8 ... If he were to make the schedule for Season 8, who/what do you see him playing?

By the way, some more hints for speculation on Season 8 can probably be gleaned from GRRM's response to the lack of a Robert's Rebellion spin-off in the list of those they are considering:
To me, this is a big clue that we're probably going to know all the details that up to this point have remained a mystery in the heads/memories of the characters we love in GoT. Some things I want to know off the top of my own head would be:
- Did Rhaegar legitimately marry Lyanna before Jon's birth and did he stay married to Elia? - Was Rhaegar really planning for "Three Heads of the Dragon" prophecy with Lyanna or was it just a romantic impulse? - Whatever happened to Howland Reed after Tower of Joy and why hasn't he been on the show? - Was King Aerys truly just insane or were the voices he heard something else (Bran)? - Is Bran going to time-travel via visions and find out what happened in the past with Jon Arryn, King Robert, Ned Stark, himself? - How did the Battle at The Trident, and Robert vs. Rhaegar really play out? - Did Lyanna meet with Rhaegar after the Tourney at Harrenhal? When did she leave with him? - After Jaime killed King Aerys, how did things play out when Robert/Ned and everyone else arrived?
*ETA: - Was baby Aegon really killed during the sack of King's Landing as stated or was it the fake baby Varys and others planned / claimed? Pretty sure we won't find this one out until the books since they've left fAegon entirely out of the show... and that leads me to think he really was a fake, but I'd like to know the truth of that mystery!
I know we probably won't get all of these things, and maybe some things we don't even know about but I really hope we get a lot of good flashbacks to see what led up to the whole mess beginning way back then!

i have succumbed to the popular opinion of the dany fans on this board. i now feel pretty convinced that both jon and dany will survive the series.

I think for Dany fans the possibility of either both Dany and Jon dying or either dying is real. It's just not a certainty the way other fans go about it. If I had to put in order the possible order how their story ends it would be: 1. One of them dies. 2. They both survive. 3. They both die.

D&D weren't even willing to have cersei's death overshadow littlefinger's in season 7. which it totally would have if cersei was killed off in season 7 imo. honestly, i now think that cersei will die in the series finale which means jon and dany are safe lol

That is to say, they both may survive, but I'm not sure they will be the same. Oh, I definitely don't think they'll be the same but more so Jon than Dany. For Dany she's done things that toe the line if you will, but Jon has kept his hand pretty clean. I don't think he's going to be able to in the War for Dawn and I think if he survives he'll be a very different person afterwards. I have a hard time imagining him as the "white knight" at the end of the series. I think for Dany fans the possibility of either both Dany and Jon dying or either dying is real. It's just not a certainty the way other fans go about it. If I had to put in order the possible order how their story ends it would be: 1. One of them dies. 2. They both survive. 3. I still think that D&D are keeping to book canon for the major characters but if they were willing to push Cersei's death to season 8, it's going to be an epic death. And it probably won't be early in the season, mid-season (episode 3) at the earliest. If Jon and/or Dany die it'll probably be episode 6. You're right, it's not a lot of time in between pretty huge deaths. Hmm, I must ponder further.

I think Cersei and Jaime will have huge epic deaths, as will the Night King.
I used to expect Jon or Dany to die, but now I'm not too sure. That simply might be too much for one season.

I think structurally all bets are off for the final season and definitely for the final episode. Everything is possible then.

I think Cersei dies in ep5, then the Night King is defeated in the first scene of e6, and then the rest of the episode is basically demouement.

I think structurally all bets are off for the final season and definitely for the final episode. Everything is possible then. Oh definitely, but you also don't want it to be some Smörgåsbord of major characters dying left and right. You would want these things to have serious impact and push the story forward. That's not to say they won't die, I can still see it but I think belle has a good point.
