I thought Emilia was more animated and engaging in her video, although, I don't care for the wig or all the makeup, she doesn't need it. Both videos were good, I now want to see one of the two of them together. Me too! I watched both of them, and the natural ending to these just begs for each of them to look up from their crowd of admirers and lock eyes with the other one and cuts to the "Dolce and Gabbana, the one." I know that would be too on point obvious as a Game of Thrones reference but still. WE NEED IT. I definitely think this is a concept they might use in future campaigns...it just seems to fit so well! I think there are particularly a couple of moments in Emilia's video where she looks a bit "alone in a crowd", which would set up perfectly a moment like you described. The earlier series with Matthew Mcconaughey and Scarlett Johanssen featured both individual and joint campaigns, so it's a real possibility. Maybe even post GoT .

Would any of you be interested in starting a new book series to discuss while we wait for the final season? I can create a sub board, especially for those of us who want to stay away from spoilers, it something to distract us from the long wait. I have no series suggestions at the moment so I'm open to anything. Preferably, it should be soemthing epic, something we can sink our teeth into with romantic elements because clearly we love that stuff. I've heard good things about The Expanse series. It's TV and I don't know what it's about, but GIFs make it seem interesting. Some books I'd like to read in future: The Witcher by Sapkowski Vorkosigan Saga by Bujold Chalion Series by Bujold The Dune by Herbert The Mistborn by Sanderson Chronicles of Amber by Zelazny Temeraire by Novik Maybe something by Guy Gavriel Kay? I have little idea of what any of these books are about, since I don't wish to be spoilt beforehand in case I decide to read them. Except that Temeraire should be about Napoleonic wars with dragons. Yay! I have read books by Robin Hobb, of whose work GRRM is a big fan, but I advise you to stop reading after The Tawny Man trilogy if you don't want to be depressed out of your skull. Other book series that GRRM was inspired by: The Accursed Kings by Druon I, Claudius by Graves Both are exellent, though short by ASoIaF standards. Right now I have finished the first book of the Gormenghast trilogy. I like it, but it's not like ASoIaF at all. It's non-magical fantasy, the setting of which is basically only one gigantic castle and its premises, it's full of grotesque characters, and it's very slow-going. It's so atypical I have next to no idea of what happens next and how it will end. You should stop what you're doing and read Dune immediately. In fact I recommend all 6 that Frank Hebert wrote himself. Dune, Dune Messiah, Children of Dune, God Emperor, Heretics of Dune, and Chapterhouse Dune. They're all great, but the first one is honestly one of the best things I've ever read. I highly recommend it.

You might all enjoy The Wayfarer Redemption by Sara Douglass. This was actually the first adult fantasy series I read...it's pretty good, the main characters are all complex, there's an epic scope to it, plenty of romance, hints of incest, haha. It is also complete, which is always good! It is actually two trilogies, but marketed as a series in the US I think. They both feature the same characters, but focus on different generations. I hope you enjoy Temeraire lojzelote, I was also very excited by that description, but was a bit disappointed in the end. You may have a different response. Mistborn could be good...I have read some of Sanderson's other works and quite enjoyed them.

I don't think I've ever seen a fandom (especially this deep into a series) get this fired up creatively, it's cool to see. lojzelote, The Expanse is really good. I'm now reading the books having binged the series in a week - but I almost wish I'd done it the other way around.

I'm now reading the books having binged the series in a week - but I almost wish I'd done it the other way around. Great! I'm so excited you guys are up for a little diversion. Thanks for the recommendations lojzelote! I would put it up to a vote to decide which series we should read, that way we all have a say on what to read next. Perhaps we should have some criteria. It should probably be a series that has either already been completed or it's from an author who keeps to their deadlines and will be completing it (hopefully) in a timely manner. As a genre, I figure we want to read something epic/expansive. I've taken lojzelote's suggested list added a bit of a summary from wiki and I've included other series that I looked into that might also work. The Witcher By Andrzej Sapkowski: Is a fantasy series of short stories and novels about the witcher Geralt of Rivia. In Sapkowski's books, "witchers" are monster hunters who (with training and body modification) develop supernatural abilities at a young age to battle deadly monsters. (8, books, novellas, & short stories) The Vorkosigan Saga By Lois McMaster Bujold: is a series of science fiction novels and short stories set in a common fictional universe. The point of view characters include women (Cordelia in Shards of Honor and Barrayar; Ekaterin in Komarr and A Civil Campaign), a gay man (Ethan of Athos), and a pair of brothers, one of whom is disabled and the other a clone (Miles and Mark Vorkosigan), their cousin (Ivan Vorpatril) together with some less well educated characters (e.g., the bodyguard Roic and the runaway lad Jin). An important concern of the series is medical ethics. The author focuses on problems of personal identity, particularly the role of the physical in determining personhood. In this science-fiction context, identity may be affected by bioengineering, genetic manipulation, cloning, and medical technology allowing the replacement of failing systems and the prolonging of life. Some stories explore the relationships among child-rearing, pair-bonding (romantic love), and sexual activity. (23, books, novellas, & short stories) The Curse of Chalion By Lois McMaster Bujold: Both The Curse of Chalion and its sequel Paladin of Souls (2003) are set in the landlocked medieval kingdom of Chalion. The Hallowed Hunt (2005) is a novel that takes place in the Weald to the south of Chalion and two to three hundred years earlier. Lupe dy Cazaril, a castillar (a knight or minor baron), returns home to the Royacy (Kingdom) of Chalion a broken man, though he is only 35 years old. "Caz", as he is known to his friends, had defended a castle during a long siege, only to be ordered to surrender it. Afterward, a jealous enemy had seen to it that he was not ransomed (as were the rest of his men), but sold into slavery, spending 19 months as a galley slave before finally being rescued. (3 books) The Mistborn Series By Brandon Sanderson: For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Then, when hope was so long lost that not even its memory remained, a terribly scarred, heart-broken half-Skaa rediscovered it in the depths of the Lord Ruler's most hellish prison. Kelsier "snapped" and found in himself the powers of a Mistborn. A brilliant thief and natural leader, he turned his talents to the ultimate caper, with the Lord Ruler himself as the mark. (8 books with prequels) Chronicles of Amber By Roger Zelazny: The main series consists of two story arcs, each five novels in length. Additionally, there are a number of Amber short stories and other works. The Amber stories take place in two "true" worlds: Amber, and the Courts of Chaos, as well as the shadows that lie between them. These shadows, including our Earth, are parallel worlds that exist in the tension between the two true worlds of Amber and the Courts. The Courts of Chaos are situated at the very edge of Abyss itself. Royals of Amber who have negotiated the Pattern can travel freely through the shadows. By shifting between shadows, one can alter or create a new reality by choosing which elements of which shadows to keep, and which to subtract. Members of the Courts of Chaos who have traversed the Logrus are also able to travel through shadow. (10 books + short stories). Temeraire By Naomi Novik: The series of books revolves around the primary characters Temeraire and Captain William Laurence. Captain Laurence is a member of the British Royal Navy, serving in combat against Napoleon's navy when he recovers a dragon egg unlike any other known to the British. The egg soon hatches, and Temeraire, a Chinese dragon, is born. Under the impression that an "unharnessed" dragon will become feral and unmanageable, Laurence becomes Temeraire's companion. Despite the difficulties this causes, Laurence begins to think of the dragon as his dearest friend. This forces a change in the sailor's life, drawing him from the prestigious Royal Navy to the less desirable Royal Aerial Corps. (9 books) The Expanse By James S. A. Corey (Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck): The Expanse is set in a future in which humanity has colonized much of the Solar System but does not have interstellar travel. In the asteroid belt and beyond, tensions are rising between Earth's United Nations, Mars and the outer planets. The series initially takes place in the solar system, using many real world locations such as Ceres and Eros in the asteroid belt, several moons of Jupiter, with Ganymede and Europa the most developed and small science bases as far out as Phoebe around Saturn and Titania around Uranus. There are also well established, domed settlements on Mars and the Moon. (6 books published, 9 books planned total) The Old Kingdom (Abhorsenby) By Garth Nix: This is the description for the first book: Since childhood, Sabriel has lived outside the walls of the Old Kingdom, away from the power of Free Magic, and away from the Dead who refuse to stay dead. But now her father, the Abhorson, is missing, and Sabriel must cross into that world to find him. With Mogget, whose feline form hides a powerful, perhaps malevolent spirit, and Touchstone, a young Charter Mage, Sabriel travels deep into the Old Kingdom. There she confronts an evil that threatens much more than her life and comes face-to-face with her own hidden destiny. . . .(13, books, novellas, & short stories) The Dreamblood Series By N. K. Jemisin: The [first book] book follows Ehiru, a Gatherer who has sworn to help keep the peace in the city of Gujaareh. It is they who must gather together magic while people sleep, using the magic for altruistic purposes as well as to protect the city from the corrupt. However when dreamers begin dying, the murders seemingly done in the name of the city's dream-goddess, Ehiru must find out who is doing this and why before the city is destroyed in the process. (2 books, 2 short stories). The Inheritance trilogy By N. K. Jemisin: Yeine Darr is an outcast from the barbarian north. But when her mother dies under mysterious circumstances, she is summoned to the majestic city of Sky. There, to her shock, Yeine is named an heiress to the king. But the throne of the Hundred Thousand Kingdoms is not easily won, and Yeine is thrust into a vicious power struggle. (3 books, first two books won the Hugo Award for book of the year). The Broken Earth series By N. K. Jemisin: The Fifth Season (first book) takes place on a planet with a single supercontinent called the Stillness. Every few centuries, its inhabitants endure what they call a "Fifth Season" of catastrophic climate change. (3 books). What do you guys think? Are there any of these you don't want to read? It looks like a couple of you has started a few of these books. If anyone wants to add another series to the list let me know. I can create a poll tomorrow or Monday and have you select your top three choices. Does that work?

We're missing another "together", but this is a good breakdown of their relationship. "Together" is their theme and I believe they will stay "together".
