The battle actually felt fairly long to me considering how one sided it was. maybe its because i watch with my phone and computer off and all the lights off, but i've never felt like an episode was ever truly too short. time just seems to kinda hang in the air when i'm watching.

It was a 10. My first one of the season.
Le Good:
* The battle was insanely well made. Up there with Battle of the Bastards and Hardhome as the best action sequence the show has ever done. * Bronn was pure gold. * Davos was hilarious in his matchmaker role. * Jon and Dany have great chemistry together. So far the "in love" process have been very organic and not rushed.¨ * Arya and Brienne sparring. * Meera's farewell. It was so sad... Extremely well acted by Ellie Kendrick.
Le Not So Good:
* I'm still not digging this new Bran. * Littlefinger is getting annoying.

10/10 easily, and that's even including my disgruntlement at the unusually short episode. 50 minutes my ass.... lol Still they're forgiven, excellent episode.

I gave it a nine. Mostly because I know this is not the pinical episode though it was very good, just some minor things I did not like.
Things I liked Arya warming up. Someone finally hugged Sansa back. When Arya did not hug her at first I was like really? Is someone going to hug her already. But then she did and it felt right and felt like a Stark reunion. Jon and Dany chemistry is picking up. The battle though I am divided on it. It's thematically great but technically the strategy made no sense. But it's a tv show so it gets a pass on tactics. Bran they addressed his disconnect directly, which I was glad to see. Davos talking about Dany to Jon. Dickon Arya and Bri. Arya and the guards. Bran and Littlefinger. Just a really good episode overall.
The indifferent scenes Tycho and Cersei, it sets up the Golden Company. Theon and Jon, I didn't really feel Jon's anger. Didn't hate it didn't love it.
What I didn't like, not much.
I thought Dany and Jon should have been alone in the cave, more intimate. Jamie sinking, there is no way that water is that deep, it also looked bad. The tactical of the battle. Against a shield wall the horses would be at an extreme advantage and would just flank them, Drogon should of been taking out the line the same way he took out the baggage train. I don't put much in this as its a show but it bugs people like me a little. I thought Jaime and Bronn should have had a little more reaction to Drogon. Generally the first time you see a 240 ft dragon you react a little more than pause. It's little but it's there. A little indifferent to some things, and a couple of small things bugged me so a nine.

Jamie sinking, there is no way that water is that deep, it also looked bad. I was thinking that too, but when Jaime was charging at Dany, he was riding through the shallow part of the water. During the aerial shots, Drogon seems to be flying over a river/lake so it could potentially be that deep. The shot was a little bit quick though.

I must be easily impressed and not very good at battle tactics because I can't find much wrong at all with that battle scene at all. It was horrific and amazing all in one giant mashed up field of fire. The parallels there were super heavy of course... Dany taking on a sky full of arrows the same as Jon did on the battlefield of Winterfell. In her case, she got shielded by Drogon's scaly chest while Jon just got fucking lucky not a single arrow hit him. This battle was Dany's trial by fire (literally) where Jon's was a field of mud, blood and guts. In the end, it was someone with invested interests who saves both Jaime and Jon in these battles (Littlefinger/Sansa and Bronn). We cared about Dany on one hand, we cared about Jaime on the other. We watched that battle through the tormented eyes of Tyrion, wanting neither side to die and torn between our loyalties. This was a battle to show how futile and terrible war really is and it was absolutely stunning. The special effects with Drogon and the fire was top notch, it rivaled the AAA million dollar Smaug sequence in the Hobbit! Seeing men burnt to a crisp and blown away as ashes was shocking and seeing Jaime covered in the soot of burning men and everything else was heartbreaking. NCW did an amazing job in this scene and I know how hard he worked on this scene in the field when it was filmed. Can't wait to watch the Behind-the-scenes material for it!

10/10, One of the best battle sequences of the series, Arya's duel was better than I thought it would be Jon/Dany was great as well.

During the aerial shots, Drogon seems to be flying over a river/lake so it could potentially be that deep. The shot was a little bit quick though. I know but Bronn would have had to knock him into next year. Cause they were in the shallows, and he only went about 10 feet further, that's a hell of drop off for a high planes River. Though loved the location. He's down a good 30 then 40 feet. ill watch it again, it's only a little thing doesn't bug me much. It's kind of like the gold wagon. That amount of gold would crush thatWagon. or Bronn wanting a Castle, last I checked he was married with a Castle. I mean I appreciate the guy, but he brought no troops to the battle. The Tarly and Lannister troops did the work. I thought bag of gold, good deal for a cake walk you did little in.

2 things I forgot, Jon realizing that Dany was chosen just like him and Dany talking about fighting for her people just like Jon did, a nice couple of parallels.

Oh well not all that important. LOL tell that to Ser Bronn of the Blackwater who just lost his big bag of gold in the mud of the battlefield AND still hasn't gotten his castle! He just saved Jaime's hide so I am pretty sure he deserves Highgarden at this point haha.

10 and 10! I got so excited when we heard the Dothraki whupping it up in the distance - I was clapping, couldn't wait for them to come storming over that hill! And cheering when Dany and Drogon zoomed in full force [till Dragon was wounded ]. What a show!
