I was a bit surprised that she only appeared in one scene too. A lot of people from the first casting call ended up being pretty limited roles in s6. And I think Dany's already on the Narrow Sea by the final scene of 610 (since she's been joined by Varys and the Dornish and Tyrell navies) so I don't think she'll be going to Volantis, that'd be backtracking. So the only way for her to show up in s7, I think would be for her to go the Westeros herself. I hope that part wasn't a one-off though. As a matter of fact I think the only Essos we'll see in s7 would be someone maybe going to the Iron Bank. Tyrion maybe. Other than that, I'm pretty sure the final two seasons will be entirely in Westeros.

Speaking of Kinvara, I'm kind of dissapointed we have to wait until s7 to see Dany's reaction to her and the Red faith proclaiming her their messiah. Especially when you consider what Kinvara wants to do with non-believers. Should be interesting. Do you think she came with Dany's entourage...? i'm not sure maybe Melisandre will meet Dany instead of introducing a new priestess. It will also be interesting to see Mel's reaction to Dany. You know...the girl who survived two fires, and hatched three dragons. Especially now that Jon banished her.

reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comments/4qfylv/game_of_thrones_season_7_directors_revealed/Seriously, reading this thread makes me fucking sick. Mylod is a mediocre director IMO, but these people clearly have no idea what's the difference between writing and directing. Also like Breakfest earlier, it's not really "surprising" that Sapochnik doesn't return after directing three of the biggest episodes ever. It's disappointing, but not surprising. I triggered so much when the whiny rant post had 2k upvotes, while the only reasonable comment I saw only three.

Mel worships a god centered around fire and light. Dany is the champion of fire, with 3 living fire breathing fire made flesh DRAGONS. She gonna be like Jon who? Also, killing an ice demon isn't even unique to Jon (Sam) and neither is coming back through prayer (Beric).

Melisandre joining the BWB seems like the best bet. Not because she believes Beric or Thoros are better options but because they are there and somehow know about what's going on north of the wall and they are her only remaining life-raft in Westeros. Curiously, no mention of the Red Priestesses of Essos were mentioned in the last two episodes ... did anyone notice that? I would have thought, if they played an important part in siding with Daenerys, we would have seen them in or shortly after the Battle of Fire and the finale leaving Essos. Any ideas on that?

Yeah I think its a bit of a plot hole. Tyrion mentioned it in ep 9 "the people love you" but any discussion those two had about red priestesses must have been off screen and it was not made clear whether any of them were sailing with her to Westeros.

Do you think we'll see Edmure again next season? I really hope so, his story and the whole Riverlands stuff needs some kind of resolution after Walder's death. Who will claim Riverrun now? There are no Tully armies anymore. Maybe Dany reach as far as the Riverlands next season? Or maybe there will be some off-screen revolt and Edmure will be back in the seat.

I was thinking the same thing. I was expecting Dany to have a conversation about them with either Tyrion of with the priestess herself. I've never considered Dany a religious person so I never thought she would embrace them, although, I could see her making a tentative alliance with them. However, it was curious that they were left out and were not featured during the ending, they could have placed one in one of the boats, but I didn't see any. Maybe they are going to give that role to Mel (you know how they like to condense roles) and confuse her even more when she realizes what Dany has accomplish and how she woke the dragons from stone.

I don't think we'll see Sam's mother or sister again, unless they're also on the hunt for Heartsbane with Randyll and (presumably) Dickon
I'm also quite skeptical of seeing all 3 of the northern lords again. I think Manderly and Cerwyn will get the Waynwood and Corbray(?) treatment.

I don't know what turns me on more: the fact that he thinks S7 will be epic or that he is teasing his return for S8.
