They could have them stationed at Riverrun or something. We didn't get Arya freeing Edmure in s7 but I guess if there was a small Lannister force in Riverrun they could just say that he'd been held there instead of at the Twins. Would be a quick writing fix and a way to bring the Riverlands back into play politically and for Jaime to make amends with him. I know a big part of that would be if Tobias Menzies is still needed for Outlander, but I would love for Edmure and Jamie to join everyone at Winterfell with the men they can gather. Once the NK is defeated it really needs to be every kingdom against Cersei. Of course I want Euron to double-cross everyone and not go pick up the Golden Company. That would leave Cersei trapped in King's Landing with no protection of than the Gold Cloaks and Queen's Guard. Euron should pick up the Golden Company, but use it against Cersei instead.

She's the one with the contract with them, so I doubt they'd go with it. But I'm sure he could use them as leverage to ensure they marry in a timely fashion.

I could see Euron betraying Cersei. Oh man, I'm just imagining Cersei without any allies, possibly having lost her baby(?) and no Jaime. I know she is a villain, but I can't help but feel extremely bad for her. Ngl, I will likely shed a tear or two when she dies.

But I'm sure he could use them as leverage to ensure they marry in a timely fashion. that's my current theory. "Marry me tonight, or that Golden Company will sail right back across the Narrow Sea. Or even worse, attack you." BUT the GC is loyal to money, and Cersei's the one with the money, not Euron. So they might not even listen to some pirate when they've got a queen with a shitload of gold waiting for them in King's Landing.

The Iron Bank took the gold and simply gave her a line of credit.

If the Golden Company is loyal to Iron Bank, and the Iron Bank supports Cersei, then by the transitive property, the Golden Company is loyal to Cersei. Not her pirate boyfriend lol. Tycho already has made it clear he doesn't trust Euron, so I'm sure he wouldn't trust him with his money or his army. I wonder who the Golden Company will bring with them. Like, if they will have a General or something to interact with Cersei. She needs people to talk to lol. Itd be cool if there was was a female Commander ala Artemisia from 300.

This FF post has a good discussion about Tyrion lurking outside Dany's cabin.

I'm not sure about the filming schedule for Outlander but the latest season just started airing so if they really needed Tobias to shoot something for the Thrones I'm sure that could be arranged with a little planning.

I always envisioned that 805 would wrap the main story, where 806 would be an epilogue of sorts to wrap things up. This could be the spot where Edmure and his family shows up.

They won't dedicate an entire episode just to the epilogue, especially if episodes are indeed longer next season. If 806 is 90 minutes long, then it will also depict the final conflict, whatever it will be (the NK or Cersei or both). The epilogue will then be the final act of the episode.

I expect the Great War to be settled before 806. So Cersei's death could be part of Act 1 then.
