What do you think about this? "For now she’s now back on set for the final series of Game of Thrones. Last season, her Instagram feed was filled with videos of her and Harington goofing around behind the scenes. But this time around the restrictions are more serious. ‘We have a very strict social-media ban this year because people need to stop spoiling it for everyone,’ she says, pouting slightly. ‘It’s really frustrating.’ Even Emilia doesn’t know what’s planned for her character (the TV series has now gone past the point George RR Martin’s books have reached). ‘They’ve written a number of different endings,’ she says. ‘So none of the cast know what the actual ending is. If there’s ever a leak of any kind, don’t believe it because it’s probably not true.’" www.telegraph.co.uk/beauty/people/emilia-clarke-game-thrones-fans-airports-source-fear-gets-kind/I think she is probably lying, Sophie just told in her interview that all the cast members did a read-through together in Belfast with D&D, it was emotional and people cried and cheered when D&D said "...and this is the ending of Game of Thrones". Kit, Lena, Liam all said that they knew everything. But perhaps what Emilia says is true for people other than the main actors, maybe they wrote different endings in different scripts that they give to cast and crew, and revealed the real ending to actors in that meeting in Belfast when they did the read-through...? Calling bullshit on this. Nothing anyone else has said has indicated they've done this and aside from that, they're about a quarter of the way done with filming, they must have shot some stuff from 806 by now.

I think it makes sense that the big battle in the North would be in E3.
E1 in WF will be unions and reunions. I think by the end of E1 there will be a big scene with Jon, Sam and Bran where Jon will find out the truth about his parents. And E2 at WF will focus on drama that truth will create there. There will be preparation for the WW as well.
I expect action before E3 ofc. I think that the WW will destroy Castle Black in E1 or E2 and that they will atack some other places in the North. I think we can expect action on Krakenbowl level in the first 2 epsiodes, but nothing major before E3.

As much as I wish this were going to be the case, I'm reminded that they've dragged out all of Jon's big identity reveals as long as possible both season 6 and 7. Tower of Joy was cut in half front and back of the season, and then his legitimacy and parent's wedding at the end of 7. If I had to guess, I'd say they'll delay him finding out about it until near the end of Season 8.

After the WW are gone there will be no more Night's Watch. Edd will be the last Lord Commander.

If they want to create identity crisis for him, he has to find out at the beginning of the season.

I think we can expect action on Krakenbowl level in the first 2 epsiodes, but nothing major before E3. My guess is that WF will be attacked in ep2 but it can be at the end of ep2. As I said earlier, I think the Unsullied guarding the castle will be beaten and burned first (perhaps they won't be burned but will be turned into wights, so the NK's army will get bigger, they have the wight giant). Then the siege starts and in ep3 there is already a siege I think. I doubt that much time would be devoted to attacks in other places in the north, and I doubt that Castle Black will be destroyed. Edd will die, that's for sure because the next LC of Castle Black will be the 1000th Lord Commander and that's why I think Castle Black probably won't be destroyed because that 1000th LC thing must be important, that position was probably created for a character in the narrative. Someone must be the 1000th LC after Edd dies, so the castle wouldn't be destroyed when Edd died, at least. The NW have more fortresses along the Wall than Castle Black. If it gets destroyed they can just move somewhere else.

I don't know what GRRM wants, but after the NK and his army are gone, there is no point in having NW.

I don't know what GRRM wants, but after the NK and his army are gone, there is no point in having NW. This is what I think too. The magic of the world may disappear once The Night King is destroyed if we're going the classic LotR route many predict may be the case. If that's true, the wall may not hold together any longer anyways (maybe it will finally melt if there's a true shift in climate)? However, I do believe Jon and Beric repeating the lines of the Night's watch vow "The shield that guards the realms of men" may have some significance at the end. The remaining Night's Watch, led by Edd, will likely come to Winterfell and help the battle alongside everyone else. There's a more ominous meaning to the "shield" theory though, in that Jon becomes the next Night King (or the 1000th Lord Commander?) in order to keep the balance. I've seen people supporting that theory but I'm not sure how I feel about that!

I think we can expect action on Krakenbowl level in the first 2 epsiodes, but nothing major before E3. Agree with this. The WW action in Episode 1 will probably have to do with the solitary Northern Farmer that has been cast. Maybe we see the fall of Last Hearth and Karhold as well (we met their new rulers last season.) Episode 2 could end with WWs approaching Winterfell and maybe making short work of the Unsullied. Episode 3 would be the full siege/battle. I don't know if Episode 3 will be 1) a defeat for our heroes or 2) a kind of pyrrhic victory, but either way the remaining Army of the Dead will keep marching south. I'm guessing they won't be able to take Winterfell and maybe the Night King doesn't care/has other plans anyway. Episode 4 could show WWs in the Riverlands, the Vale and Westerlands (not all of it has to be shown onscreen.) I don't think such an episode would need any battles. Just creepy atmospheric scenes would do, plus a lot of uncertainty and chaos. In episode 5 they hit King's Landing. I just hope there's enough time for Cersei to make baby sacrifices to the Night King before the big battle. (Maybe Qyburn suggests this idea to her.) This is the sort of hardcore Old Testament stuff that needs to happen.

This is the sort of hardcore Old Testament stuff that needs to happen. Wow. I never thought of something that twisted! Would Cersei actually do something like that? Is she that far gone in hunger for power? They've humanized Cersei via her children (the only things she really loved aside from power and Jaime). If Jaime is gone and her power is gone, she knows her child is doomed. Could be super creepy/amazing.
