Woo Hoo!!! It is almost here. The promo didn't give us much to speculate on but watching it gave me the chills.
I was curious about the feather but then I saw this.
3 months. Can't wait.
The channels I have been checking out lately are below. Very cool theories. I think that these guys have finally cracked GRRM's code. He has said that the answer's are in the book's that are already published but it takes some serious study to pick out the correct information and piece is all together. GRRM is truly a rare talent.
It has been such a fun adventure thinking back to when I first started watching the show. I never heard of AWOIAF or GRRM. But slowly the my interest grew and the obsession with trying to figure out all these puzzles GRRM has created. Who is Jon Snow really? Who or what are these White Walkers? What's up with the trees with faces? A society of Dragon riders that was destroyed by volcanos. . . . cool tell me more... what caused The Doom? And then going to all these websites and hearing all theories that mostly have been proven not true but that's what makes it fun. I remember eagerly waiting for the next Preston Jacobs video years ago. I loved all his crazy way way out there theories. He was completely wrong but at the time I loved it.
Anyway the channels below answers some key questions. I think they figured it out for the most part. The Empire of the Dawn is something the show hasn't even talked about but it sounds like the next series will be diving in on that subject. "Mysteries of the East" equals Empire of the Dawn.
What is the oily black stone, Origin of Asshai, What caused the Doom, the Long Night, The channels also pick through the history and provides a much more accurate picture Westerosi history that goes back to the Dawn Age. All is addressed by the channels below.
The Order of the Green Hand - They dive deep in the history of Westeros and what really happened before, during, and after the Long Night. It includes Garth Greenhand, Dawn Empire, Ancient Dragonriders all kinds of cool stuff
The Disputed Lands - She has a video on the oily black stones and is so spot on. I don't see how she could be wrong
Alabatur - He has a great video linking Greenseers and Valyria. As well as linking ancient religions of Essos to the COTF.
Also one channel called Westeros History has a video titled The Great Empire of the Dawn which is great. It features Lucifer Meets Lightbringer, ever heard of him?, he has become a bit of a celebrity among Game of Thrones nerds. It's a 3 hour video so be prepared for that but it's very cool.
Here are a few examples but these channels each have several videos I highly recommend checking out.
