well wtf was the episode called? anyways i thought it was dope. daenerys arrival at winterfell went as expected. sansa is a little frosty but i'm sure that will sort itself out. jon and arya "i wanted those elephants" they definitely laid the groundwork for euron betraying cersei, i think theon rescuing yara THAT NED UMBER SCENE. that was some quality horror right there. jon and dany riding dragons and then making out was cute or whatever. also sam seemed kind of spiteful telling jon he was a targaryen. i will be interested in seeing that play out. nicolaj's acting in those last moments was amazing

That Ned Umber scene gave me nightmares. Holy shit what was that!
The overall very strong start and surprisingly I've enjoyed even Euron and his bitching contest with Cersei. Not like he can win.
Tyrion/Sansa and Arya Gendry/Hound were some of the best scenes and plenty of callbacks.
Jon and Arya tearjerker. Needle and hugging just like old times. Honestly, for a sec I thought it was Ned and Arya.
Jon's parentage underwhelming but I guess consequences will be far more important as they keep on going into Jon pursuing throne, idea of them ruling together. I wonder if Jon will tell everyone, only Dany. No one is not an option as they have to create angst between Jon and Dany + possible pregnancy.
Surprised no elephants but hey AotD has undead mammoths.
Ominous stuff from Varys about Jon and Dany not lasting. I think they will last but a lot of angst.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE DRAGON TRAINING SCENE! Some funny stuff and their kiss. I kind of thought that their kiss was coming ever since right before the start of the episode used Jon and Ygritte kiss in the montage.
Dany and Sam scene was how can I put it... awkward.
I was surprised Bran just told them that Viserion is an undead dragon and the wall has been breached.
Nikolaj's acting was amazing in that last scene with Bran. Bronn coming to kill him and Tyrion were interesting but I don't think he will do that, he likes them and AotD is marching.

The way Rhaegal (I think it was) looked at Jon reminded me of the way Tormund looks at Brienne. I didn't like the opening credits, it was too clean. I wish they'd have made it look less digital. But that was my main complaint. I really enjoyed it. For some reason, it was only when the little lad was climbing the trees and the music was going did I realise someone was going to ask where Arya was in the same way as Cat did. The waterfall scene reminded me of the cave scene with Jon and Ygritte. I'm guessing that was on purpose.

The umber boy - chilling! When he came to 'life', or came undead...
Really, really uneasy about Arya and Jon, though a little encouraged with that last scene btw Jon and Sansa - think they'll work it out because of what they've already gone thru recently with each other
Theon/Yara - done perfectly!
Cersei - I was shocked she let Euron in, but that last scene, about putting a prince inside her....ah, that's her 'cover' for already being pregnant with Jaime's
A little impatient with the Jon/Daenerys thing. I mean, Bran told them right away that the wall had been breached, that there was no time. Thought the call back to Ygritte and Jon in the cave (Dany, "We could stay here 1,000 year") was corny. I mean, please ...
Liked Arya/Gendry encounter ... a little disappointed w/ Arya/Sandor encounter, but maybe it would have been unrealistic otherwise
So sorry for Sam -- anxious to see how Jon's learning of his real identity begins to sit with him. Sam's just golden, and confronting Jon so appropriately. Would you have executed them as prisoners if you'd been king (and we know John wouldn't, not in those circumstances), and would you give up your crown if you were Daenerys? I know I'll get killed for saying this, but there're just a whole lot of things I don't like about Daenerys, never have. (OK, I'm bracing for being lambasted...)
Jamie/Bran at end! What a way to end the episode.

Oh - at the risk of being a complainer (because there were many great things about the episode), I was also rather chapped at Sansa and the way she treated Tyrion when they met. (If I don't get blasted for criticizing Dany, I'm sure I'll be burned at the stake for criticizing Sansa for that, but, really ...) Will have to say I like everything else about Sansa these days - just didn't think Tyrion deserved that at all. Her fleeing the Purple Wedding really left him in a horrible place - not that it was her fault, and not that I blame her for leaving, but I can't believe she couldn't put herself in Tyrion's shoes and see what the repercussions were for him.)

What a way to end the episode. Sam’s line about not giving up a crown for her people was complete bs. She spent the better part of the story doing just that. And Sam knows it. He had a scene with Maester Aemon where they discussed Daenerys.

Pretty sweet how the NW is now like 4 guys.
Ned Umber should have been quicker leaving, that's a little bit on him right?
Helluva way to write out Lord Glover, did Wyman Manderly send a bitchy scroll too?
How weak ass is the idea to try and get Bronn to kill his best buds? Also, it really hurts that Lena and Jerome Flynn can't do scenes together because they really needed Cersei giving that pitch to Brown to make it at least halfway plausible that he won't just go and hang out with his dudes instead of murdering them.
Harry Strickland is super underwhelming, can't wait to see the one other scene that he has this season where he goes out like a punk.
The Sam/Dany scene is super important in setting the eventual realization from her that she's been maybe going about some things the wrong way when it comes to punishing enemies, I think she and Sam are going to have some really heartwarming scenes later on.
Sansa is always right and this ep shows more of the same (even if we all know she's going to like Dany in the very near future).

My brain is scattered like those loose limbs on the wall with little Ned Umber. That was a lot of show to take in, needs a rewatch or two.
Arya was the star of the episode for me, she had brilliant scenes. I expect that weapon she requested Gendry to make is going to be significant later on.

Still, why was Jon looking at Drogon and Drogon at him while he was kissing Dany? That seemed odd.

Also, Yara is going to the Iron Islands, which is nice to clarify. She wants to set up a place for everyone to be able to retreat to after the Battle of Winterfell so we'll see when she pops up next.

Sansa is always right and this ep shows more of the same (even if we all know she's going to like Dany in the very near future). I really hope it does work out like this with D and Sam. You reminded me of the scene btw Jon and Arya by the weirwood - Jon that Sansa's not as smart as she thinks she is and Arya sticking right up for her that Sansa's the smartest person she knows. Really happy to see that sister solidarity. 'Way back seasons ago I would have said it'd be Jon and Arya bonding solid and that Arya and Sansa would still have static btw them, but it turned out to be just the opposite. I just hope that Jon and Arya work it out.
