The most basic promo but yet at the same time I'm intrigued.

Welp, I see I'm not going to get my wish for Arya to just ride off into the sunset on that damn horse.

I don't understand how that many Unsullied and Dothraki are alive after 803. We saw nearly all of the Dothraki get obliterated by the AotD except those who rode back with Jorah and the Unsullied get slaughtered besides a couple hundred behind Mel before she lit up the trenches. Unless they just ran off elsewhere or all didn't march north for The Long Night. I know they mentioned that half were still alive in 804 and then we saw them in their capacity in 805 at the Battle of KL, but there's got to be some explanation here. Dany was burning the city from above too so some of them had to die at least. Edit: I think because of how chaotic the WF battle was that all of the forces were just scattered. They don't know who was inside the castle, some could have retreated with Ghost south or to the Wolfswood to avoid getting killed or burned. The AotD was attacking from the North so it's not impossible.

When Arya killed the Night King there were only main characters still alive fighting the dead.

When Arya killed the Night King there were only main characters still alive fighting the dead. That's true, but from the KL shot it looks like there's about 1500, not 4000. Dany lost Unsullied during the SotH attacks, Daznak's Pit, etc. so the number has been significantly reduced from the 8000 she bought at Astapor. I'm still going with the scattered and retreated south theory because at least there's some logic with how Ghost was able to survive. Unless this is some SW nod to Attack of the Clones.

I bet the think-piece authors who wrote about how all the non-white characters died as cannon fodder against the dead must be feeling mighty foolish about now.

Yeah true and while the writers have made mistakes, you still can find justified explanations outside of what is shown on screen. The focus of that battle was on the main characters, but they didn't show where Davos was most of the time and he survived.
