I've got a season ticket pass. I'm prepared to waste the money on a couple of episodes.

Giggle. The Train Has Left the Station and is EN ROUTE Someone had mentioned his new hair in another thread.....I generally like the floppy boy hair, but seeing that it's HammerTime, I kinda like the military look. SO happy and excited for Joe Dempsie.

Someone had mentioned his new hair in another thread. I think they were trying to make him look more like Renly.

Our long years of seemingly hopeless (often ridiculed) faith has been rewarded, at last, Eureka! We grieve for all our friends and compatriots who desperately rode the Stoneheart Hype Train into oblivion and beyond, disappearing eventually into the mists of time. Our Train survived, and *thrives*. Their Train, alas and alack, died aborning. We mourn with them, even whilst we celebrate the years of our own deep faith being *finally rewarded.*

Someone had mentioned his new hair in another thread. I think they were trying to make him look more like Renly. Joe said on makinggameofthrones that it was his way of hiding his paternity, having as little baratheon black hair as he could. day dreamer I understand why Davos would want him to keep his heritage to himself, but I still really wanna see join Dany's club of children of bad fathers. Maybe that's coming after she hooks up with her nephew/Gendry's new friend.

Maybe that's coming after she hooks up with her nephew/Gendry's new friend. Gendry joining the "Bad Fathers" club is awesome and I'm glad they went the direction they did with Gendry. Some people think it's a little strange he's so suddenly hyped about being a Baratheon Bastard, but honestly this may help the transition for Jon down the road when he learns his own true heritage. Gendry wasn't real thrilled about it at first but he's had years of working at a forge in King's Landing to think about it and accept who he is and what that means for him. He's the ONLY surviving Baratheon and that is a big deal for a kid who has had nothing else up to now. I loved how excited he was to join the adventure and how quick he was to grab his stuff and go. The fact he's now in the dream team heading out the gate of the wall to capture a wight is pretty significant considering how seasoned the rest of those veteran warriors are and says a lot about Gendry's character importance.

I'm glad Joe at least mentioned Arya in that THR interview. That made me feel slightly better.

I'm glad Joe at least mentioned Arya in that THR interview. That made me feel slightly better. I was a little concerned when Gendry didn't mention Arya, but I imagine that will change as the Magnificent Seven make their way into the frozen North. I still think they make an excellent team.

Jon hasd't mentioned arya once for 5 seasons until 7.05 and apparently brienne/sansa never even bothered to tell him she was alive. so i don't have hopes for gendry remembering her before it's time for them to actually reunite.

I assumed he thought she was dead post Hound because Sansa did mention that they had to take back Winterfell "For Arya, Bran and Rickon wherever they are." But yeah, I have no hopes. especially since Lads said there was no mention. I'd like to hold out hope for a surprise.

I assumed he thought she was dead post Hound because Sansa did mention that they had to take back Winterfell "For Arya, Bran and Rickon wherever they are." I think that's a silly assumption after Rickon returned from hiding after no one knowing his location since Winterfell was sacked (even if he did die soon after), Sansa survived post-kl when Jon had no clue where she was and Jon himself came back from the dead, but yeah, that was probably the intent. I think the Sansa/Brienne scene played as Sansa being hopeful so it's a bit of a flip-flop for me that Jon, who armed 11yo Arya and expected her to train herself, would give up hope with the same info. Point is, the only Arya relationships the show cares for are Arya/Sansa and Arya/Hot Pie.

I thought it made perfect sense. Some shit went down but you figure once he got to know the world was a bigger place than a forge there was no going back. I think like you say just needed time to process. Plus meeting Jon had to be one of the better days in his life and who the hell would be made about being a Storm lord? On on a side apperantly Gendry didn't spend all that time rowing on the water, he was running on it.
