I have just started watching Outlander. Watched the first three episodes last night and while i enjoyed it, it does seem to be a very slow paced show. Other shows i watch or have watched include Vikings (meh), Orange is the New Black (great season 4) Peaky Blinders (fantastic) Penny Dreadful (brilliant but needed more episodes before the finale) Sense8 (slow at first but improved towards the end of the season) The Last Kingdom (better than Vikings by far) Orphan Black (Season 4 brought it back from a bit of a slip in S3) Marvel Netflix shows (JJ>DD imo) House (i loved this show) iZombie (love it) and of course Game of Thrones

atargbyanothername, hang in there with Outlander. There was a lot of background/storybuilding that had to be done in the first 3-4 episodes, but trust me...it is fantastic (and shocking and exciting and explicit and just so well done). You won't reqret it!

You won't reqret it! I was planning to stick with it, because i like it so far despite being slow (and a bit of overuse of narration for me) but I'm glad to hear it picks up a bit. I'm aware of some of the explicit stuff that happens already, because this is the internet afterall and spoilers/outrage abound!

There aren't too many of us around here. I loved it and thought it had a very intriguing premise. I hope they can keep it up for season 2. Also, Maesteress is right about Outlander, stick with it, it's a really good show.

I'll definitely stick with Sense8, i only had a bit of trouble getting through the first couple of episodes but the season as a whole was great. Have your heard the fairly recent news of the Capheus recast? And that we are supposedly getting the second season next year?

I did hear about the Capheus recast, that made me sad because I thought the actor was great. But apparently he had "creative differences" with the producers. I had not heard about the season 2 premiering next year but I'm not surprised. It's a very involved show and the production for it must be very extensive.

I had to watch the Outlander finale twice to truly appreciate it. Hmmm. For some reason when I used the Quote function, everything you had written under Spoiler was spelled out, not hidden, even though what I quoted was in the Spoiler hidden mode. So, anyway, I deleted your Spoiler in what I quoted directly above, but what I wanted to say was that I finally watched the finale last night and think I need to go back and watch it again, too. Is Claire going to research what happened to Jaime? I hope so. At the end, I was afraid she was going to impulsively go right back to the stone, and I'm wondering HOW she can just leave her daughter there alone. And could she get back to the same time as when she left before the BoC? Anyway, I agree 100% with what you said: "And Murtagh and Black Jack are too important to only have their deaths portrayed in passing mentions (again, knowing the history of Culloden I'm just assuming they both die ). I really liked Roger, but Brianna didn't do it for me and I was happy to see Geillis again. Dougal's death was done quite well too. It was a great episode after puzzling out the lack of battle."

Hmm the same thing happened to me with your spoilers, so I just put the spoiler tags back around your quote I assume Claire will spend some time trying to figure it out since she'll have no idea where Jamie would go after Culloden. I think it would be cool if they show what happened to Jamie in the 20 years that Claire was gone (assuming its 20 years later when they go back). I don't really want them to get back together immediately, mostly because I want to see Culloden and the aftermath, but I think it would also feel cheap to have them back together in like the second episode since the emphasis in the finale was their separation rather than the battle. My dad and I have been trying to figure out where the hell Jamie could go after Culloden. If he goes back to Lollybroch, Jenny and Ian are in trouble for harboring a fugitive and he can't go back to the remaining MacKenzies or to his grandfather, so I was thinking he might make his way to the Americas and Claire's time in Boston will give her a chance to search for him through the pre-Revolution American history.

I'm still a slave to The Walking Dead, no matter how shitty it gets. I also watch Mr. Robot, Agents of SHIELD, Better Call Saul, Daredevil, and Orange is the New Black. I'll watch Westworld when that comes on, and I'm about to start Deadwood.

I generally have two shows I deal with at a time.
One I watch solo, the other I watch with my wife. Right now it's House of Cards (Season 3) and GoT with the wife (Season 2).
Not sure if there are any Michael Connelly fans, but I really loved the Mickey Haller series. Bosch is a bigger character in his universe and has a TV series. I watched Season 1 and it was pretty solid. I'll be doing that most likely after I'm done with HoC.
I always wanted to watch The Wire, Outlander (did try 1.5 episode - but it was slooooow). I also definitely want to see The Last Kingdom (read book 1) but waiting for it show up on Netflix.
Game of Thrones just makes other shows boring though.

I was skeptical too at the start, but it truly is incredible. 2. Last Kingdom should be on Netflix, at least I found it on there. But yeah I'll watch Last Kingdom (I promise ) and I'm also currently in the middle of Peaky Blinders.
