I binged Stranger Things yesterday. I absolutely loved it. The show is super enjoyable with its story, characters, and especially the 80s retro references. The best aspect of the show how much the acting are incredible, even the child actors done a good job. It's been a long time i seen child acting this great like holy. I loved the kids, they are super adorable. Dustin is my favorite kid out of the group. Hopper is also one of the best character in the show as his character development was fantastic. I have mixed feelings towards Joyce. I liked what they are going for with her character, but the way she acted (particularly her hysterical moments) come off very uneasy for me to sympathize with her. I agreed that Nancy's storyline is the least interesting part of the show. I didn't enjoy the love triangle 80 style cliche and i still hated Steve with all the shit he done. Jonathan is lovable though. Finally, Eleven... Can't wait for the second season to come out. I regretted not watching the show earlier, otherwise i would have gotten a photo shoot and autograph with the Stranger Things cast at FanExpo.

I don't get why people still hate Steve but Jonathan is "loveable." They both started out the series as pretty fucked up individuals and finished the series as much more likeable people. Why is it only Steve who has his past actions continually held against him?

Why is it only Steve who has his past actions continually held against him? It's just that people find it unrealistic for Steve to redeem himself for being an asshole and the fact that Nancy get back together with him so easily makes it more hard to sympathize with him. Sure Jonathan was wrong for taking pictures on Steve's group, but he wasn't malicious and a jackass like Steve. Keep in mind, Steve mocked and insulted Jonathan, his family, and especially Will who supposedly died. Steve crossed the line there that is deeply cruel and his character development was poorly done. One episode he was a jerk and the next, he attempt to atone for his actions? At least with Jonathan, you see the progression with his character development. With Steve, you don't see much on Steve's redemption nor he didn't do much.

Season 2 was phenomenal. Really hard to gather all my thoughts right now, I just finished and there is so much on my mind, so many things I loved about this season, so many scenes and characters. Not only did it live up to my hype, it absolutely surpassed it. The last two episodes in particular had me sobbing basically the entire time. Once again, Winona stole the show acting wise. I love her so much, she plays that character with such vulnerability and inner strength. Her love for her sons knows no bounds. Eleven reuniting with Mike and the boys made my heart melt, as did the scene between her and Hopper in the car. One of the things I enjoyed the most this season was definitely the relationship between El and Hopper, it was so beautifully done. Really loved what they did with Steve's character, too. I didn't really care about him all that much in Season 1, but they gave him more depth, and made him incredibly funny and likeable. Loved the way he genuinely grew fond of Dustin, that was an awesome dynamic between these two. Speaking of Dustin, he is still the best! Every single one of his scenes was gold, that little dude is going places. Nancy was the MVP of the final episode for dancing with him when the other girls rejected him, it broke my heart when he started to cry. He even made his hair to look dashing and everything! Little Steve in the making. RIP D’Artagnan. Really the only thing I did not like about this season was Max's stepbrother. I liked Max, I think she's a great addition to the group, but her brother was an insufferable douchebag. Not sure why they included him at all, there was so little purpose to his character it seemed. RIP Bob. That Mike & El kiss at the end, though. I watched it by myself today, I'm gonna rewatch it on Sunday with Daniel. And I can't wait. One of the best seasons of any television show I've ever seen. This could have been the final season of Stranger Things, and I would have been happy.

That were quick!
Up to episode 3. Finishes on a hell of a cliffhanger. It's just starting to get warmed up after a bit of a clunky start with a lot of retreading, and a looot of references to things of the period. Still, that's what you have to expect so I'm not disappointed. Excited to watch them ratchet up the tension, which they're good at. The horror stuff is really well done (so much better than It, just quietly).

I finished the season and i absolutely loved it. It's much better than the first season. Dustin is such a cutie pie and he's more adorable in this season. Especially in the last scene with the school dance. I'm very glad that Eleven survived this season. She deserve a happy ending after all the stuff she was put through. And her reunion with Kali and Mike are the best. I'm really looking forward to her meeting Kali again in the future seasons. There are some story between them that is unresolved. RIP Bob And RIP Mew... (poor kitty got replaced) The only storyline i dislike in this season is Jonathan and Nancy's. The story where both of them going to the lab and meeting the investigator. I feel like the purpose behind it is to drive the romantic tension between them and that what makes the story line underwhelming. Remove it and it won't change much to the story.

Guys, make sure to watch Beyond Stranger Things once you've finished the season. It's so much fun to see the Duffers interact with all the actors, especially the kids. They talk about some super interesting behind-the-scenes stuff. Really hope the Hollywood success thing doesn't swallow these kids up and ruin them, they're so sweet and funny. Also the Duffer bros are like ridiculously attractive.

Totally disagree I thought season one was much better. I liked it but the whole thing is clunky and a clear setup for season 3. I agree about Jonathan and Nancy plots, I liked them last year and this year they were Duds. On the other hand Steve in season one started out as a Dbag, became a decent guy and went all the way to most likable of the three by a mile. I thought they went to big with the central plot. Lucas was redundant this year, Max I liked but her story was very underdeveloped, and wtf is Billy? I hate then I almost feel bad for him, then I think he is funny and they I want to snap his neck. Poorly developed and the exact opposite of how well Steve have has been developed. I thought it was good but hated episode 7, just could not stand the characters. Pure garbage, and ridiculous antics, horrible acting, just bad on every level. D still rules, but the Dart sub split was stupid, the boys know better and it was totally telegraphed. I didn't use spoilers because I did not really speak about anything plot related other than there are plots and sub plots. It's good, but I thought last year was clearly better. Ithought they over reached and tried to do to much. You could expand everyone's story but trying to add a bunch of new characters, and give them their own stories while expanding everyone else made everyone's sub plots feel under developed, I thought Max who l liked saw her back story suffer the most from this.

I've still got two episodes left because I'm binging with my husband so I have to wait but I just finished episode 7 That was insanely boring and really took me out of the story. I get why it's necessary to learn more about Eleven and I like that Kali accepted her right away, but I was not feeling it. That didn't need an entire episode and it felt like they were testing the waters for later seasons having a group of kids with powers.

Pretty much agree with everything. I thought the season started slow and although it got better with each episode it didn't feel as cohesive and focused as the first season. It was more plot driven than character driven. Don't get my wrong, i still enjoyed it very much I just wasn't as drawn in as I was the first time.

I strongly disagree with the notion that it was just a setup for Season 3. This literally could have been the final season of Stranger Things, and everyone would have been happy, because the ending was so conclusive. Also not sure in what way it was more plot driven than season one, I thought the balance between plot and character development was pretty much perfect. Eleven's story for instance was one about self-discovery and character growth. Season two gave depth to characters who barely had any in the first one, and established some of the most compelling relationships on the show.
Episode 7 felt weirdly out of place and didn't quite fit in with the tone of the show, I'll give you that, but 'garbage on every level' is a ridiculous hyperbole for a show of this quality.
I love Season 1 with all my heart, but I think Season 2 was at least as good, better in a lot of ways.
