I've been doing the re-watch and in season 4 we get several mentions of the Iron Bank. In a very interesting conversation between Tywin and Cersei he explains to her how the IB always gets what is due to them. It's interesting because Cersei talks of negotiating with someone but Tywin explains that's not how the IB works. I think given the spoiler that Tycho will appear in season 7 this conversation is pertinent. I wouldn't be surprise if Cersei tries to negotiate with Tycho and when he refuse she kills him, just to have someone else show up with "backup". I also wonder if the IB talks to Dany about the debt, the Bay of Dragons was filthy rich, I don't think Dany would have too much trouble paying the IB their due. I definitely think the Iron Bank thing will come back to bite Cersei in the ass somehow though it wouldn't be fitting for them to assassinate her as is implied they do in the books for others who don't pay their debt. "The Iron Bank always gets it's due" always hinted that they employ the use of assassins like the Faceless Men .... which if you think about it could be a really cool plot twist if Arya's still somehow in leagues with Jaqen. Still, I know most people favor Cersei being taken out by Jaime. That's never really been much more than a fan theory unless you hardcore believe he's the "Valonqar" which was (probably) intentionally left out of the prophecy on the show...

I always thought that referred to their willingness to back a ruler's rival, as they did with Stannis. Killing a debtor only helps if they know the next guy will honor all the debts.

You could be right on that and it doesn't make as much sense to assassinate the person who owes you money unless that's to put a threat to the inheritor (heir) of the debt as in the case of the king/queen of Westeros. Killing off the ruler just extends the debt to the next unfortunate person in line - in this case that could very well be another of the three Lannisters (KING TYRION haha) until we find out who else might actually take over (Jon/Dany).

So, people have been discussing that with the newly release schedule for the next X-Men movie, it might appear that Sophie will not be back to GOT. Shooting for X-Men begins June15th and apparently Sophie has a big role in the movie. It'll probably take at least four month to film which would be tight if they start filming GoT in October. She could always do her scenes later through so this might not mean anything. But the speculation that Sansa might die next season has just gotten ,ore fuel.
I personally don't think Sansa will die, I mean, are they going to kill ALL the Starks. It's just seems like too much. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Just like those Cine leaks and everyone associated with them. Lads knew both interior and exterior info and didn't mention this, so I'm just about certain she lives.

if GoT doesn't start filming until October then I think this is a non-issue. she'll have plenty of time to film both.

It's really a lot of desperation on the Sansa hater crowd for sure. Sansa will be in Season 8 as I think her story arc was always meant to go all the way to the end along with the remaining Starks alive at this point. That being said, I *do* think we may see a lot less of Sansa in Season 8. Now that she's Lady of Winterfell, and full dead of winter has arrived (or undead of winter rather) it's possible Season 8 will focus almost entirely on the battle against the Night King. We need to remember that at this point all we know is the finale season is much more condensed so that means even less time for long monologs and drama plots. Sansa's entire story has revolved primarily around the struggle at King's Landing and the Lannisters (with Boltons as a side story). She's not a fighter the way the rest of the main cast are so her story will be limited to Winterfell which probably doesn't leave a lot of scenes for her. Sophie may already know her Season 8 filming schedule will be shorter and thus has more time for other filming projects.

Sophie may already know her Season 8 filming schedule will be shorter and thus has more time for other filming projects. I tried to reply to this without using spoilers, but it was not possible. So beware, this contains spoilers from the leak: I originally had a similar opinion as yours. However, after thinking about it for a while, I've come to a different conclusion about Season 8. Of course this is just speculation as we have no clue how it will go down, but assuming The Wall falls in the season finale of S7, I just don't see how they could possibly fill 6 episodes with just the battle against the NK. That would be too monotonous. There needs to be a bit more than that. If this was a movie, the next scene would already be the final battle. There is no way the final battle will be 6 episodes long, though. There will still be a lot of dialogue and indoor-scenes. I think the biggest clue for this is the fact that Cersei seems to be surviving S7. So Cersei will definitely still be playing the game. In regards to Sansa: I agree, she is not a fighter, but she'll be involved in the politics. My guess is that she goes south to get that Tully army and because Jon doesn't want her to be in Winterfell since it's too dangerous. Another possibility is that they could revisit older storylines, e.g. the conflict between Cersei, Tyrion and Sansa. I never thought this would be possible, because I was sure that Cersei would die before the Long Night. But since she seems to be alive, there is definitely a chance that old conflicts might surface again.
All in all, I don't think they could get away with just one storyline in the final season (the battle against the NK). In order to integrate all the non-fighters (Cersei, Tyrion, Sansa and more) there will probably be a second storyline, most likely dealing with Cersei's downfall.

Lord, here we go. If there's one character that's pretty much guaranteed to live until the end it's Sansa. I'm with Envie though, I don't think Sansa will have a huge presence in S8 because I expect a lot of it to be fighting, but that doesn't mean she won't have an important part. She can film both.

@kairos - I don't expect the battles against the Night King to be the only story in Season 8, maybe I over-generalized too much in my first reply. There's plenty going on tied to that and of course Winterfell will most likely play some important role in the overall battle plans. Sansa going south to Rivverrun would be a good way to give her more scenes for sure. If they keep her at Winterfell, I have to wonder if the Night King will attack it first considering it's the only big keep we have gotten much look at (other than Last Hearth) that far north. The Dreadfort and all of that will be sorted in Season 7 (I think) but will they actually play roles in the battles against the oncoming undead army? Those could take up quite a bit of screen time once the wall goes down.
I guess I sort of see the last six episodes as the encroaching wave of undead - an apocalypse of sort - and how the combined forces of North and South rally against them. No I don't see there being six episodes of non-stop battle scenes and there's definitely room for politics and indoor scenes and dialogue, but not as much as there was in S6 and S7 is my guess and simply because there's less episodes overall. All that being said I do think Sophie/Sansa will have less filming and less scenes for Season 8 but I do think she survives the whole thing.

All that being said I do think Sophie/Sansa will have less filming and less scenes for Season 8 but I do think she survives the whole thing. When the leaks first came out and we found out that Cersei survives the season I was completely incredulous because I thought that for the most part the game of thrones would be done by the end of season 7. However, the more I think about it, the more it make sense to keep Cersei and Euron around. Not so much as to keep the game of thrones storyline but to show that even with the impending apocalypse there are still people who thirst for power is so great that they continue to see it even when all of life hangs in the balance. It's within keeping with the story that we have those fighting to do the right thing while others ignore it in to focus on their own selfish pursuits. It's duality and juxtaposition we have seen throughout the series. That's were characters like Arya and Sansa would be focused on season 8. As much as Arya learned how to kill her skills are not exactly translatable to do battle, she's a stealth killer. So I can see her and Sansa being teamed up to do whatever. ETA: I think the continuation of the game of thrones will be part of the bitter in the bittersweet ending. They survive (the good guys) but the world keeps on spinning much the same way it did before.

On a completely different note, has the tagline "Only death can pay for Life" been used? I think it would make a good tagline for season 8.

Sansa has already been on the sidelines of 3 battles, 2 of them at Winterfell and she still had a major role in the episode. I expect the War for the Dawn to be along the same lines.
