I'm just not interested in any of these characters other than Daredevil and Punisher. I haven't watched JJ, LC, or IF. And from what I've heard I'm not missing much. Although JJ seems to have somewhat of a following.
I can't wait for The Punisher solo show (anyone know when it comes out?). Jon Bernthal killed it that role on DD.

It had so many good ideas but it got held back by terrible acting, poor fight choreography and pacing. LC was better, imo. It starts off really strong but the back half isn't as good as the first. Haven't tackled IF yet. I'm scared.

Maybe I can finally motivate myself to watch Luke Cage and Iron Fist. This looks good.

Daredevil is still #1 for me Oh, you liked Luke Cage better than JJ? Because I remember that we agreed that JJ sucked. So maybe that means I'll like Luke Cage better too. But tbh I think it's likely that I'd like any show better than Jessica Jones. JJ had a good start but fell apart in the second half and became a complete disaster. It lowkey killed my interest in these shows. At this point, Daredevil is the sole reason I'm still interested at all. I hope Matt is not the only Daredevil-character to appear in The Defenders (I mean apart from the ones we already saw in the trailer ). I'll give Luke Cage a chance and then let you know what I thought.

JJ had a good start but fell apart in the second half and became a complete disaster. Could not agree more. It started off gritty and dark enough but once Kilgrave was introduced, it became too lightweight to be taken seriously. Then there was the matter of pacing. For large periods of time, nothing of significance happened during the second half. They could have chopped off a few episodes off and cut to the ending by episode 8 or 9 and still lost nothing important. The biggest problem i think was Kilgrave. He was too jokey and not intimidating enough. I expected a cruel, unsettling pervert with supernatural powers hiding in plain sight.

He was too jokey and not intimidating enough. I expected a cruel, unsettling pervert with supernatural powers hiding in plain sight. Kilgrave was my biggest issue too. I thought the first episode was scary as fuck, because I still perceived Kilgrave as a real threat. But then when he emerged, he was completely pathetic and a joke, which ruined it for me. I could not take him seriously AT ALL. I mean in theory I liked the idea of making him a weenie with really dangerous powers. A bit like Joffrey who is also a pathetic weenie with power. But unlike Joffrey, they potrayed Kilgrave just as a man child who likes to throw tantrums. He wasn't scary. He was unintentionally funny and annoying. Writing characters like Joffrey or Kilgrave is difficult. There's a fine, fine line between showing them as just pathetic man children or as man children who are still genuinely scary and dangerous. It worked for Joffrey. It didn't work for Kilgrave IMO. Furthermore, I rolled my eyes at the action scenes. They were terrible. So was the acting and pacing, especially in the second half. It had storylines going absolutely nowhere and being resolved in an unsatisfactory manner (the lesbian couple storyline, like WTF?!) or just complete "jump the shark"-moments e.g. everything with Simpson. I particularly remember one episode (was it episode 10?) where the Simpson storyline took a nosedive so bad that I still cringe at the thought. The only thing that I liked was the social commentary on rape and rape culture. That was well done.

I don't know, I don't expect a villain like that to laugh maniacally or haunt me in my nightmares, he was just a really shitty human being who just happens to have mind control powers.
