For fuck's sake, White Bear. Ugh. (Sorry, I just finished it and this is all I can say for now.)

For fuck's sake, White Bear. Ugh. (Sorry, I just finished it and this is all I can say for now.) A completely average episode until the end. But that twist was so good it made it one of the best, imo. Reminded me of the classic Twilight Zone episodes.

The Waldo Moment is supposed to be last. I disliked it and National Anthem about equally, but I rank NA last as I thought it was a disservice to start a great series with such a goofy episode. I tried to get my brother into Black Mirror, but that one really put him off. I tried to tell him it's not indicative of the quality of the rest of the series, but I can understand the resistance after that one. I also seem to be in the minority wrt Playtest. I thought it was mediocre at best. The fucked upness of that episode is what pulled me into Black Mirror. They really went there. Technically I watched Nosedive first but National Anthem showed me these could be different. White Bear's ending is so insane. I didn't like the ep but the ending saves it.

I thought it was mediocre at best. Yeah same. The NA did definitely put me off a bit, but @igrewupinkl and breakfest warned me about that and also said the next few episodes would completely blow my mind and they were right. 15 Million Merits is depressing, but I find the concept to be fascinating. There's a sense of isolation because the characters never see the outside world, they're confined to these blocks, and the only way out is to enter a competition where your fate is nearly decided for you, but it also has some satirical elements. It's essentially what could go wrong with a society that relies heavily on media and advertising to control their lives.

So of all the episodes, which could you see happening in real life in the not so distant future?

So of all the episodes, which could you see happening in real life in the not so distant future? probably white christmas (the john hamm part where he has an online group watching this poor man try and pick up girls) and Hated in the Nation. Micro technology is pretty advanced and they are developing things at the moment which are similar so, bee drones could be a thing. Also i forgot that was my signature @nictarion haha because i've got that setting turned off. But now i'm going to leave it so i can remind @kairos of one of the best episode in the series. This is already how i feel watching television

Shut Up and Dance definitely, but Hated in the Nation seemed like something that could really happen too. Am I the only one that cried during various parts of this show?

I've mentioned it before on here, but the only time a tv show ever made me shed actual tears was the series finale of Six Feet Under. Movies where I only spend 2 hours with the characters, or a show like this (half that) just don't seem to affect me as much. Hell, all the sad shit in GoT and it took until S6 to even choke me up a bit (Sansa and Jon's reunion). The Black Mirror I found the most upsetting was The Entire History of You. I found the end of that one pretty heartbreaking. It reminded me a bit of the film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Which is great btw if anyone hasn't seen it.

I remember you saying that about Six Feet Under on the other site. I'm strange with TV. I cry in movies all the time, but until Black Mirror I could count the amount of times I cried on a TV show on one hand (and three of them were GoT's fault) 1) Season 2 finale of Rescue Me. 2) Shireen burning 3) Jon and Sansa hugging 4) Hodor and Summer dying. Then Black Mirror happened and I cried pretty much the entire time during Be Right Back and in San Junipero when she told her story.

The cliffhanger with the radiator falling on Damian pissed me off sooooo much. The only place I talked about that show was on IMDb and there were no spoiler sites that I knew of that would tell me what happened.

i waatched the national nthem on a plane Looooool was it edited? I watched an unedited version of The Reader on a plane. I kept looking behind me to make sure no one was watching my screen. Only time I ever regretted an aisle seat.
