I think Cersei's gonna use the Golden Company to capture Storm's End. Is there anyone in Storm's End since Renly's death? the same people who were on Dragonstone after Stannis died

Since everyone in Dragonstone disappeared I'm sure they all did in Storm's End too. #WhatBaratheons? you beat me to my own joke

Considering they never removed the Riverrun set. We'll see once filming starts.

Considering they never removed the Riverrun set. We'll see once filming starts. Yeah, we know how dependable Irish Thrones is on their 'news' so this could be building or dismantling either one. Still, it would be super awesome to see Riverrun/Edmure again in S8, especially if Jaime-the-sellsword drops by.

I think a better option would be to have Sansa meet with him and other Riverlords when Sansa and Tyrion go to deal with Cersei and Euron.

Considering they never removed the Riverrun set. We'll see once filming starts. I think they used the Riverrun set at Corbet in Season 7 to film the interiors for Casterly Rock. So there's a good chance that the set is being redressed to serve as another castle entirely.

I think Cersei's gonna use the Golden Company to capture Storm's End. The round tower does look like it could be a good fit for Storm's End, but I'm skeptical if only because I think that the Stormlands are most likely already under the control of the Crown, and even if Storm's End technically isn't, it's probably unoccupied. Once Stannis died, I assumed that the surviving houses of the Stormlands bent the knee to Tommen (a nominal Baratheon) if they hadn't already. When Jaime said that Cersei had control over "three kingdoms at best" at the beginning of Season 7, my interpretation was that those kingdoms were the Westerlands, the Riverlands, and the Stormlands. It would be cool to see Storm's End, as it's the only major seat of the Seven Kingdoms that we haven't yet seen on screen (unless you want to count Sunspear, but we did see the Water Gardens). But while the Golden Company could land there, it would be a pretty cursory takeover, and probably not worth an expensive location shoot. Easier to just have them sail directly to King's Landing, I think.

Easier to just have them sail directly to King's Landing, I think. It could be used twice. Maybe a quick scene of the Golden Company/Lannisters/whoever capturing the castle, flying Lannister flags, whatever and then later in the season, the Starks/Targaryens/whoever clearing them out and Lord Gendry Baratheon taking over. Both Dany and Cersei said that the moment Dany goes North, Cersei's going to start recapturing as much of Westeros as she can. Dorne, Highgarden, Casterly Rock, the Eyrie, Dragonstone, Storm's End are all fair game. She might even be dumb enough to march on Winterfell.

Dorne, Highgarden, Casterly Rock, the Eyrie, Dragonstone, Storm's End are all fair game. She might even be dumb enough to march on Winterfell. Yeah, the castle could definitely serve as two locations. Trujillo Castle did just that last year, serving as Highgarden in "The Queen's Justice" and "The Spoils of War", and as part of King's Landing in "The Dragon and the Wolf" (there were rumors about it being Casterly Rock as well because of the Lannister flags, but I think those were proven incorrect). It will be interesting to see where Cersei sends the Golden Company and her surviving armies in Season 8, if anywhere. That's definitely one of my big questions. I personally think that the Northern forces will get pushed back into the south and they'll come into contact with Cersei's armies that way, but she could march them North once she realizes that she's lost the element of surprise in her betrayal. I didn't even consider the prospect that we could see Storm's End as part of a sequence in which Gendry is legitimized and named the new Lord of House Baratheon once the Great War is won. That would be epilogue-type material, but it's definitely a possibility. Good call!

I think she's just gonna ignore the North. She said she's gonna let them all kill each other while she takes back the rest of Westeros. So that's why I'm thinking she's gonna "re-conquer" as much of Westeros as she can, with as little resistance as she can, before Dany even has time to respond. It would be cool for Cersei to take Dragonstone. They have those beautiful sets already built, they might as well use them, even tho (at least the majority of) Team Targ has left.
