Another great episode. There are some bits that are not my favorites but I see how they were needed (Sam on the boat, Varys with the lady) But I do still find Tyrion's chatting amusing and don't mind it one bit. The scene with the small counsil is good as usual, lots of tension there and Cersei is all smug now that she thinks she can just have ser Gregor take care of everything in a trial by combat. I like that in Braavos Arya proceeds in her training, I hate the Waif and I always want Arya to kick her butt I do wish we would have seen some kind of conspiracy in the north rather than the two houses just swearing themselves to the Boltons but I guess this is fine. Jon saying that his watch has ended is something I've been waiting for for years

Okay working past the pain, sleeping beauty wakes up. And you know what it should of been a kiss like in the books but I think the show was affraid Jon would become known as Snow White. Death is nothing, Stannis not the Prince.
Jon's upset, well that's gratitude. Apperantly Jon has a small dick, so this is now confirmed, Tormund said so.
Oh boy the tower of Joy, a very unhappy place. 2 Kings guard? Really was 3 asking for to much? Why doesn't Bloodraven want Bran too see in the tower? Here let me show you this place, but you can't see what's in the tower till later.
Dany all scruffy looking. It looks nothing like Vaes Dothrak from season one, which had green cause horses gotta eat aand water is important.
The Crones, important symbolism for Dany, The maiden the mother and the crone. The crone carries a lantern in the faith.
Arya training montage, Her heightened senses shall benifit her in some way at some point.
Oh and now we get angry Jon off with their heads, Now Jon has given up the fight against the Others plans on going south and getting warm.
Stark reunion and it's kind of lame.
Brie confronts Mel and Davos and is not happy about the Blood Magic thing with Renly, how on earth would she know if it was blood magic? Was it? Wasn't it shadow magic?
It's an okay episode not a lot really happening it's more of a transition episode to what is coming, starting new chapters and ending old ones.

This is my favorite episode in the first half of Season 6 though not many share that view. There's just something so right about the flow of this episode from one scene to the next, all tie together in a very satisfying way for me. We got a lot of much needed answers in this episode: - Jon's return to life is an existential crisis and not some glorious hero moment for him - Sam truly loves Gilly and is going to try and take her home (glad he doesn't end up leaving her there) - The Three Eyed Raven has been waiting 1000 years for Bran and Bran doesn't have to turn into a tree too - The truth of how things went down with the fight of Ned Stark against Ser Arthur Dayne is revealed (but not what's in the tower... yet!) - Daenerys isn't too happy about her new 'home' in Vaes Dothrak and we're pretty sure that's not how things are gonna stay ... - Tyrion is struggling to earn the trust of Dany's advisors (awkward Missandei/Grey Worm) - Varys is still pro at his job and gets answers out of the Green Lady - Team Cersei struggles in King's Landing with the Small Council, but Qyburn's got the Little Birds working! - Arya finally passes all her blind training and gets her eyes back. The Waif also realizes Arya wants her dead (unspoken name on her list) - The Umbers are siding with Ramsay and betray House Stark. I hate him for handing over Rickon! - Jon hangs his murderers and then quits his job, making Edd his successor. "My watch is ended." I mean really, there's not much to complain about in this episode and finally no more Dorne! There's a lot of satisfying little moments and great lines plus beautiful directing and acting. I didn't even mind Olly's stink-eye at Jon and glad they had him keep that face right up to the very end as it made his execution even more satisfying. My favorite moment is Davos having a private heart-to-heart with Jon. When Jon admits he failed, Davos gives him simple advice: "Good. Now go fail again." I love Davos! Another great moment was Arya admitting she had taken The Hound off her list before she left him to die out there. I hope they get to meet again in Season 7 as it would be interesting to see him with both her and Sansa. He's saved both their lives and is as much a hero as Brienne. Oh and I want to see those two together again too, Brienne nearly killed him! I think they will have some begrudging respect for one another if they do meet.

Fantastic episode. Davos and Jon in the beginning are great! I love the reactions he receives when he exits his chambers, especially with Edd. The executions of the mutineers was one of my favorite parts, along with Jon's watch ending. ToJ was epic! Ser Arthur Dayne is a boss!I also liked the KL scenes. There aren't any bad episodes in S6, this is one of my favorites.

Seeing Arthur Dayne fight Ned and his men at the ToJ was pretty epic. Easily my favorite part of the episode.

Brienne saved both Stark girls, in different ways. By wounding the Hound she gave Arya the opening she needed to make her own choice about her future. I think the Hound will have respect for Bri as a fighter, and gratitude for keeping Sansa safe from the Boltons.

Here is a question what puts the Oathbreaker in Oathbreaker? Is it Umbers action? Was it the hanging of the traitors who stabbed Jon? Or is it Jon? Could it be Dany?
For Dany, not really. She breaks the tradition of Veas Dothrak but never took an oath about it and never really had any say in her marriage.
Thorne and the traitors? They are being punished but they betrayed Jon last season, and from their perspective did not break any oath but tried to protect the watch.
Umber? None of the north really rallied to the Starks, but they did break their Oaths to them when turned in Rickon.
Jon??? It's a good question, Jon kinda quits on his own volition, he isn't dead. Ned tries to argue the point with him, so is Jon breaking his oath? It does say until you die, and he died, but also says for all night's to come and Jon has plenty of Nght's. Ned also needs to remind him of what is coming, which Jon no longer cares about.
So is the title of this episode based off the tiny scene with Umber? Seems like a weak theme for the episode, if only 2 minutes of the episode are about that.

Really like the Davos/Jon team. Davos is so wise - unencumbered by all the BS, he just cuts straight to the core of the matter - whatever it is - with no hesitation whatsoever. He knows how to keep it simple. Jon's handling what happened to him was very well done. The hanging of the traitors was obviously distasteful to Jon. I did think Alliser Thorne did well by his last words, though. The wall is just depressing and sad now - no Sam, no Gilly, no Maester Aemon, no Shireen, no Stannis., so many losses. The Tower of Joy! Wish we had had a little more, though.
Love Arya's triumph when she bests the Waif, who truly hates her. Arya, biding her time, saying and doing what she has to in order to survive.
Not terribly fond of the Small Council scene - thought it fell flat but did love Lady Olenna's comments, as always. Poor Tommen - so easily led 'astray' - he's just putty in the HS's hand.
Dany - well, we know she's not going to stay there. Just biding her time.
The Meereen scenes were a bit slow, but necessary. The thread that will lead to getting the slavers pulled out as instigators of the SOTH.
Such a feeling of loss at WF, too, watching Osha and Rickon turned over to Ramsay, and poor, poor Shaggydog.
