I think my husband enjoyed the Missandei scene more than I did.

I can't believe how I knew pretty much everything that will happen and still I was nowhere near ready for all that I mean just to see Tyrion's face when he heard Jon is king And to have that same moment in the same episode with Arya as well Their boy made it big And then to have Jon and Sansa discuss Tyrion. Nymeria made me cry, she is so beautiful and she just turned away, my poor heart! Do you think we'll see her and her pack again? I'm so happy Arya's going home, even though it will suck she'll find Jon gone but Sansa will be there and hopefully Bran will show up too. Sam is pure gold, he decided to help even before he knew who Jorah was. Poor Theon, the look on Yara's face.. It's really difficult to put it all in words. Olenna's chat with Dany wasn't all that great, I mean it was okay but meh, I'm over her and her old lady know it all-act. Loved Tyrion's "We don't kill little girls". Loved Varys's response to Dany's roast and the mutual ground they found.

As @kairos would say, my wig has left the solar system
WOW. That was good. I just...WOW.
That whole opening of the storm on Dragonstone. Daenerys starts pressing people. Varys stands strong, lays his cards on the table. Dany doesn't love what she hears, but I think she respects it. Varys is with her as long as she remains better than Cersei. It's interesting that what started out as one of the most mysterious and menacing figures on the show has been revealed to be one of the most moral politicians of them all.
Melisandre awaits the Dragon Queen in the Throne Room, tells her that prophecies are impossible to understand, but she knows that Dany has a part to play, but so do others. Tyrion speaks on behalf of Jon Snow's character, Dany agrees to meet with him. However, she remains determined above all else, and clarifies that she intends to accept his fealty before anything else.
Cersei and the lords was good. She was really hamming it up for them, which I liked. She tried to give an inspiring speech, but couldn't resist going after Olenna in the process. Despite her "stand together" bullshit, Randyll Tarly isn't the only one who notices how ominous the whole thing feels. She's rallying them to her cause, but there's the unspoken implication of what happens if they refuse. Rather than see his home destroyed by eunuchs and savages, and face Cersei's wrath, Randyll Tarly switches sides. He agrees to keep faith with the Iron Throne, despite his allegiance to the "once-great"Olenna Tyrell.
Cersei and Qyburn was one of my favorite scenes, not gonna lie. The whole thing was just creepy but triumphant. The way the music swells as she watches a spear pierce through the eye of a dragon (the same music from her coronation, might I add) was just incredible. In addition to the dim lighting, I loved how the set was created in such a way that it felt super wide open, while also very claustrophobic. And I'm always a fan of Cersei talking shit about Robert.
Sam was fine. I love Jorah so I was happy to see him in a bigger capacity. Sam doing everything he could to honor his fallen Lord Commander was brilliant, even if it might cutting rotted flesh off his exiled son in the middle of the night.
Missandei and Grey Worm was whatever. Their sex scene was too long. It got awkward after a minute or two. I was ready for it to end, depsite Natalie's perfect assets.
Arya and Hot Pie was ok. I thought she was being kind of a douche to him tbh. He was like so happy to see her and she was like "oh...hey...feed me." But I loved how the scene changed when she found out about Jon. The music and the look in her eye. Chills. Her reunion with Nymeria was amazeballs. It was tense, but there was still love there. Nymeria was too wild from her time alone, and couldn't be tamed. Whether or not the same can be said for Arya remains to be seen.
Loved the Dragonstone council. Ellaria and Tyrion bickering, Dany telling Ellaria to stfu. They know Cersei is a crazy bitch and a direct attack would be a mess, so they decide to fan out. Divide and conquer, and cut off Cersei's forces at every turn. Olenna giving Daenerys "an old woman's" advice was so great. Llisten to your advisors, sure, but listen to yourself first.
I loved the Winterfell scene in the great hall. Jon laying out why he has to go to Dragonstone, literally everyone objecting, him going anyway. It was interesting that Sansa softened her position as soon as he told her he was leaving her in charge. The power she's come to crave in recent years. LF and Jon played out exactly how it should have. LF being LF, and Jon chokeslamming him. Excellent.
KRAKEN-MOTHERFUCKING-BOWL. Euron is a crazy motherfucker. I take back everything I said about him last year. Love him now. Bye bye Barbaro! I loved the whole atmosphere. The sparks flying through the air, the whole thing felt so chaotic. Mowing people down with that axe was glorious. Him laughing maniacally covered in blood. UGH. So good! Theon cutting and running was tragic, but it made sense. Him watching as his sister is taken away from him was so sad.
I wrote a lot. sorry not sorry.

He has been so good. I'm so proud of it. He's been entertaining which is all I ask for. He pulls off crazy really well. His face during the promo just amped me up. I feel like he's been let loose to just have fun with the role, which he is clearly having. And we are having fun with it as well.

I know Nathalie's boobs are a big hit around here, and I agree they're great, but that Grey Worm/Missandei scene went on way too long. I just do not GAF about their romance. I agree, this was the only scene that didn't fit the pace of the episode, I felt.

Obligatory Jonerys hype!
They're really increasing the foreshadowing.

agreed with belle tho in the sense that I thought some of the scene transitions were very awkward, almost jarringly so.

He pulls off crazy really well. His face during the promo just amped me up. I feel like he's been let loose to just have fun with the role, which he is clearly having. And we are having fun with it as well. I've described this as basically, when you have a teacher who clearly loves their subject, you love it too. Pilou loves this role so much, so he just lights up the screen.

I felt like this is the first time in a while that D&D have actively tried to make Sansa look a bit foolish. When she's bitching at Jon again with everyone else, then he names her leader and she completely shuts up (while LF creams his jeans off screen) just looked SO strange to me.

It felt like an acknowledgement moment for Sansa and her capabilities as a leader. I think that puts an end to Starkbowl.

I think her zipping it was two things. It becomes obvious that Jon is NOT changing his mind, which I think Sansa realizes. And, Sansa is a bit eager to have some power, which is understandable considering her past (abused by someone in power, abused by another person in power, abused by yet another person in power, etc). So I think she just kind of deflates when she realizes he's not going to listen to her, but he's going to give her what she wants in the process.

I can't remember when an hour of television went by so fast, except for the meat cutting scene with Sam and Jorah. Sorry, I'm empathetic, and all I have to do is see someone in extreme pain and my system hits hyper-drive. I would rather watch GW and Missandei.
And the teaser for next week?! Mind blown people, mind blown.
Jon Snow is going to meet Dany and the sound we hear will be the cries of millions of Jonsa worshipers.
