I belive Jaime is one of the true heroes of the series and I'm pretty sure he'll do something heroic that benefits the realm .
But I'm a little bit torn on how he dies( If he dies , 99% sure of that) I like the idea that he will kill Cersei and blow up KL with wildfire with the army of the dead inside . He killed the mad king to save the city , now he destroys the city to save the realm . That would be a great twist imo .
But he also said he wants to die in the arms of the woman he love , which is obviously Brienne . But dying in her arms becomes hard if he is to burn KL .
If Jaime dies , how do you think it plays out? Will he fall in battle and die in Brienne's arms or is he the great hero who sacrifices himself to save the realm ?
Jaime is my fav character btw.

First of all, Valar Morghulis. All characters will die, it will only be a matter of time. Some will die during the war, some at the end of the war, some two years later, some 20, some 70. We will probably be told what happens after the war too, and we will learn what happens to the characters who survive the war, how and when they die. We don't even know how long the war will last exactly, so I try to predict when they will die based on what is left for them to do in their stories. For example, I'm pretty sure that Dany won't die before she gives birth to Jon's child. That's almost certain because everything points to that end. But she can die anytime after she gives birth imho, that's why it's possible that Dany will die 9 months after the boat sex. Well, maybe she will die 50 years later, but she can die 9 months later too, it wouldn't be meaningless in the narrative. But it wouldn't make sense if she died before that, she should at least give birth to that child before she dies. The same thing is true for Jaime too, I'm sure that Brienne will give birth to a Lannister heir. So Jaime can't die before Brienne gets pregnant, but he can die anytime after they have sex at least once. I wouldn't say that Jaime would die 99% at the end of the war though, he might outlive Cersei, I don't believe that him and Cersei have to die together or at the same time for the narrative to make sense. There isn't any real foreshadowing or prophecy for that, neither in the books nor in the show, that's just what Cersei thinks because she doesn't want Jaime to exist if she doesn't, she sees him as her extension. Actually there are some hints which show that they may not die together, for example Jaime came to the world holding Cersei's foot but that hand was cut off. It may be showing that they won't die together because their connection was severed when Jaime lost that hand that he held onto Cersei with. Like I said, he can die anytime after he impregnates Brienne, so it really depends on when they will have sex. In Jaime's Weirwood dream and also in the show and in the parallel stories in mythology and history (I had mentioned these in detail in a discussion here some time ago) there are hints which show that not only Brienne will get pregnant, but they will get married too before Jaime's death. So I think Jaime will die only after they get married and Brienne gets pregnant. If they somehow get married in the north in episode 4 or 5 for example, then I'd say it's certain that Jaime dies in ep6, probably at the end of the war, and it can be right after he kills Cersei. Like you said he can get wounded in the process and die in Brienne's arms shortly after, who happens to be there too. I had written yesterday that there were strong foreshadowings about them being the Maiden and the Warrior and either dying together embracing each other or Jaime dying in Brienne's arms. But there are different scenarios that can make sense, depending on how long the war will last, when they will get married etc. For example, if the war lasted longer and they already had a child before Cersei's death, they could both die at the end of the war. And Tyrion and Sansa could raise their child. And Brienne could die and Jaime could survive too if Brienne already gave birth to the child. The fact that Renly died in Brienne's arms and she failed to protect him makes it a little bit less likely that Jaime will also die in her arms, that's why it's also possible that either they die together or Brienne dies in his arms instead. In case they both survive, I don't think that they can get a happy ending, they will probably have a bittersweet ending in any case, so if they both survive I think the only possible scenario is that Jaime becomes the 1000th Lord Commander of Castle Black and serves there the rest of his life as a punishment of his crimes after marrying Brienne and leaving his name, titles and legacy to Brienne and their child when he takes the black (this can happen if Brienne is the one who dies too, Tyrion can be the child's foster parent as Jaime retreats to Castle Black). If they don't get married and have sex until the finale, until Cersei dies, then they have the best chances because it means that Jaime will survive the war and outlive Cersei because he won't die before he marries Brienne and they have a child. This is why I kept telling to Jaime and Brienne shippers that they shouldn't hope for them to get together until the very end, and have sex on-screen, but they just insist that they will live together for 50 years and have 10 kids so it wouldn't matter.
