SO yeah, Sansa swore eternal silence on Jon's secret identity. For like, what, 12 minutes before she blabbed? It defies belief that the showrunners and even GRRM keep defending and holding Sansa up like some paragon of brilliance and virtue. She's an asshole. I despised her in the books, I've despised her in the show. Yep. I’ve held my tongue here as much as I could over the years because we have a lot of Sansa fans, but I’m sorry I just can’t anymore. I fucking hate her so much. Always have. And Jon can get fucked too. Dany literally begged him not to tell her and ofc the fucking idiot does. I’m so glad the only Stark I actually like fucked off out of that frozen shithole. Sansa went from annoying to pitiful and now she's just gross.

Outside of Jaime and Brienne and Varys' discussion with Tyrion, this episode kind of sucked. Going from NK back to Cersei feels like such a narrative regression. Cersei is old school GoT schemer without any of the clever political intrigue that made characters like Roose, Tywin or Olenna interesting. She's just evil Queen and it feels generic as fuck. The stuff with Dany is good as well, but honestly, Euron lying in wait had 0 build up whatsoever, I can't remember any hints or references to a plan in E1... Maybe I'm wrong. alright I’m gonna cut you off there... ....Cersei Lannister isn’t interesting? Not in this season. Admittedly she hasn't had much time to do much, but what has she really done? She's queen because...? and people support her because...? She's the last "bad guy", and don't get me wrong, I like Cersei, she's probably been one of the most consistently good elements of the show, but ever since season 6 she's just been kind of there. In fact, when season 6 killed off all of the other characters in King's Landing, Cersei just went kind of dormant. She's queen, but so what? Cersei thrives in political drama (like her interactions with Ned in S1) and ever since the show moved away from that, she's never really recovered imo. Since the sept of Baelor blew up, there's really been no one for her to interact with outside of Euron, and he's show Euron. There's just nothing about her current plot that interests me.

Euron bringing a dragon down is certainly from the books, though I imagine it will be better than that. How the fuck did Dany not see the Iron Fleet? I also really dislike if they had Jaime do a 180 and go back to Cersei's side. But with complaints out of the way, I liked the episode. The scheming with Varys and Tyrion was nice, as was the partying in the beginning. And shame on Jon for not even saying goodbye to Ghost. It's not a goodbye...have faith.

I'm going to pretend this series ended after Oathsex. Its interesting you said that--I've seen so many posts at other boards with people who've followed the series religiously for 8 years now, saying they're walking away NOW, simply don't want to see or know the clusterfuck endings to come. Sad but understandable.

I loved Cersei and I loved Lena's acting. But I do agreed that nothing happen with her so far in the series. Other than killing off a bunch of characters like with the Sand Snakes and Missandei, there are practically little scenes that happen with Cersei. I was expecting her to flee to Casterly Rock and all.

Same, I love Cersei but she killed all the characters that made her story interesting. Since then all she has is bootlickers who offer no drama or tension. How many lines of dialogue has she had this season?

And the Starks have gone full on Xenophbic, we can't trust her. But she fought for us and saved us, You are right Jon, we can't trust her she isn't us. But we can trust fucking Tyrion and every other person we ever met. The scene with Jon and Dany was brilliant. So when I rate this crap it will be sure to get a fucking 2, for those two in that scene. Maybe a three for Missy but subtract one for the convince plot again. Fuckit subtract two cause the lazy asses can't stop themselves, it gets a well earned one cause the contrived writing is so bullshit.

There's just nothing about her current plot that interests me. i will concede she is astronomically more compelling when she has rivals to interact with. But idk, I feel like this is kind of the point of her story. She has become so isolated and so out of control, I feel like it was always headed here eventually. I’m reminded of her speech about (paraphrasing) all the men and jokes and disrespects she’s endured, all the while promising herself that one day, it would be her turn. Well, now it’s her turn. Yes I miss her sparring matches with Tyrion and Olenna, probably more than anyone else, but this is her third act. Alone on top of the world.

I despised her in the books, I've despised her in the show. I won't go as far to say I despise her character but I do really hate how selfish she is being written and how no one ever calls her out on being just as powerhungry as Daenerys or playing on people's lives. I mean for me it all goes back to Snowbowl, if she would've told Jon about her little army they could've planned a different strategy but Sansa literally gave zero fucks about Rickon, about the wildlings in Jon's army or even Jon. She just wanted Winterfell back and Ramsay dead, no matter how many lives were lost in the process. And since then all she's done is act all high and mighty and I'm crying because I don't see the Stark in her It does really suck that both Arya and Sansa have been all over Jon about choosing his family, saying how they can't trust Daenerys because she's not one of them and then it's Sansa herself that can't be trusted and for sure Jon will never call her out on that, no one will.

Yeah I’m really not feeling Sansa. Her dislike for Dany is really just silly at this point. Daenerys has lost so much for the sake of protecting your dumb ass, and you thank her by conspiring against her? Girl fuck you It’s a sad irony that the “home” Dany dreamed of her whole life doesn’t even accept her. She should have stayed in Essos.

At least House Baratheon lives again. A little drop of sweet among a sea of bitter, but just enough to feel a shadow of its taste.

This is all very true, Lena is brilliant and Cersei in the early seasons was an amazing character but since she's been almost alone in KL she has come quite boring. I don't enjoy her bitchy one liners she does every now and then at all, I'd like to see her in longer scenes where we actually get to see an outcome, not like the one she had with Tyrion last season after the dragon pit.

Man, I guess I'm really on the opposite side of things. Besides the horrific moments, I absolutely loved this episode.
Quick recap of the characters/predictions:
-Daenerys story surely seems like failure is imminent. Either she's going to turn evil or she's going to die; but neither will actually happen. I don't know if she'll sit on the IT, but her story will get a good ending. -Sansa - her betrayal is meant to piss everyone off, but she'll have a redemption arc as well. -Jaime - he's not going back to KL to be with Cersei, although I couldn't believe Twitterverse saw it that way. He's going to conquer his demons, Cersei. -Jon will be reunited with his friends again (Tormund, Sam and Ghost). -Gendry Baratheon was an awesome touch and I still think Arya ends up with him. -The Hound has one job left and we know that it is. -I loved Tyrion in this episode, he's trying to do the right thing.
