Dany's death didn't seem fair. I know she just burned a bunch of innocent people but I kept thinking "aren't you guys being a bit hard on her?"

From "Fire and Blood", supposedly there are hints that you could reach Essos by sailing west from Westeros, but GrrM never detailed what lands are in between. Well, I want to go there (wherever 'there' is) with Arya. That is all.

Well...the music was good. Hey it was very deep, truly a fitting to the ep... LMAO sorry couldn't do it. Was laughing most of the time. Pretty shallow, dialogue was on par with a sitcom. Plot was created by a pair of idiots. How do Tyrion and Jon walk? Idiot plot. Why doesn't Drogon kill Jon? Idiot plot, bad throne, bad throne. Dany's "tragic"death was cliche. Even if you were not spoiled you could see it coming. The scene in the throne room was just cheap looking. Jon was a moron. I love Dany but the homicidal maniac we were given is all you need to convince you that there is a problem. She is my queen. Dude come on. He tried to justify her actions. What? Even Davos, friend it's over we won. Dude did you not see the dead kids? That's not a win. Logic may have died. The tone shifted from bleak to comedy to an attempt at up lifting. Tyrion, you can't kill me, only my king can. Greyworm, okay. The comedy thing was just weird. Oh no I am not the hand, gasp, let me fix these chairs, finally I have atoned for my sins. Arya goes sailing. What is west of here. Essos, you will eventually hit Essos. Sansa got a new dress, again what a great story she had. A song of dresses and lemon cakes. Small council was cringe worthy. Why is there a Night's watch? Plot device, Jon must be punished, send him to a place he loves. In a world of polotics, nobody questions Bran on the throne. Well glad it's over and I know some here will like it. I am glad they enjoyed it. Not my cup of tea, I am not going to unsubscribe to HBO or anything, still want to see Deadwood. Not enough to keep on HBO after that. If they get a show I like then maybe pick it up again. Not my least favorite episode, just kind of stupid and shallow. The line about stories uniting people, well they were sort of right, the United the Internet against D&D, I don't think that was the plan though. Just kind of laughed and shook my head. Cringed here and there. Was it me or was it kind of slow and boring? GOT goes out with a whimper. It didn't really feel like thrones, the dialogue, idiot plots, the comedy. Jokes about ASOIAF.

I get the idea of Bran as he's omnipresent. Lying to him is pointless as he will always know the truth. He's a peaceful person. That is truly why it makes sense. He will actually see how the smallfolk are faring. He can tell the stories of what is really happening in Westeros and the council can act accordingly. Do they actually need a Master of Whisperers? Bran almost laughing was the biggest shock of the episode. He might develop a personality. Biggest letdown is the brothel joke never being finished. I found the Jon and Arya goodbye scene more emotional than the reunion. I think Bran gave Jon what he deep down wanted. It wasn't a sentence, it was freedom. He knew what Jon would do, and so did the Night's Watch. If Jon wanted to return to the north, Bran no longer has any authority over the matter, it is Sansa's concern. She'd welcome Jon back with open arms. I want to know what's west of Westeros. Dany's dream was fulfilled. The wheel was broken. But it took her sacrifice to enable it. There needed to be a genuine threat to her, and that threat was Jon. I loved it, but I'm not sure if I could rewatch it for a while. The episode was beautifully shot. Although I was initially dubious about Tyrion's beard. It looked odd. I guess Jon belongs in the real North as Tormund put it rather than at Winterfell. It always felt that way that freefolk is where is home really is, ever since Ygritte. Dany's HotU vision came true and she touched the Iron Throne. Why didn't Drogon just fried Jon I'll never know. As if he knew throne corrupts people but more logical is that creatively it made sense to Weiss and Benioff. I'm still unsure of what to think of Bran being the King but I suppose your reasoning makes it more believable. He knows, sees everything and will be just or more than others before him. Also, Sam is a Maester but has a family which is against the rules. Sam kind of forgot about his family

I'm sure King Bran is able to pull some strings with the citadel if need be.

I know she just burned a bunch of innocent people but I kept thinking "aren't you guys being a bit hard on her?" I feel you. But seriously, not 'a bunch.' Hundreds of thousands of innocents, little kids, women, peasants, poor people. And vowed to do the same 'from Winterfell to Dorne.' Yikes, freeing them from...what, exactly? Being alive and not burned to a crisp?

Dany’s speech was chilling. I’m honestly shocked at how much I loved everything. I read the leaks so I was expecting to hate it but...I think they actually pulled it off?

Episode was called “The Iron Throne” Yawn. Thought for sure it’d be A Song if Ice and Fire when Sam brought the book in. This was so much deeper.

I found the Jon and Arya goodbye scene more emotional than the reunion. That's where I cried. I was pretty happy with the way things turned out (except that Greyworm really pissed me off). I'd wanted Jon to go back to the wall or north of it with Tormund, but I didn't expect it to be as a punishment. I don't know why I'm having a hard time with that (after all, he did assassinate the Queen!), but IDK.

yes surely the weirdo wizard kid who can tell stories was much less ridiculous... Well, Bran didn't offer himself to be king and I was talking more about the scene being hilarious than the situation itself but sure. But he did know he was going to become King so he didn't have too.

Dany's HotU vision came true and she touched the Iron Throne. Why didn't Drogon just fried Jon I'll never know. As if he knew throne corrupts people but more logical is that creatively it made sense to Weiss and Benioff. I read a very interesting essay/article about GRRM's symbolism of the throne being a different sort of 'corruption' than the one-ring for Tolkien's saga but at the same time somewhat similar. It's just hit me how very much that symbolism works now that I've seen the ending and Drogon melted the throne. Whereas the ring was pure evil and corrupted those who possessed it, the throne was just an inanimate object that held no powers but those who sat on it held the power of it and decided how to use it ...for good or evil, or everything in between. Much as Littlefinger once said about the realm in his infamous chaos speech, it's the "thousand blades" of Aegon's enemies, a story we agree to tell one another over and over until we forget that it's a lie... and the throne doesn't even have a thousand blades in it! It's just a stupid (uncomfortable) metal chair that represents the power that people want it to represent. And so, in the end, Drogon melting this 'symbol' of power, was sort of like the one ring falling into the lava of Mount Doom. Not because Frodo threw it in ... he didn't! He and Gollum fought over it and Gollum fell and the ring went with him. Jon didn't destroy the throne or the power of it even though he did destroy Daenerys to keep her from destroying more. He wasn't any more heroic than poor Frodo fighting with Gollum in the end and Drogon finished off the job in a symbolic sort of way. That's really the best part of the ending for me.
