So there's a new series on Spike called Gone: The Forgotten Women of Ohio that starts tonight. It's from Joe Berlinger, who was one of the guys that made the Paradise Lost films (which are my absolute favorite crime docs). I will definitely be checking it out.

I wish I would've saw this a few hours ago. How was it? It was decent. Typical unsolved case stuff, negligent law enforcement, heartbreaking families holding out hope/wanting closure, etc. It's an 8 part series so I'll definitely watch the whole thing. It's weird seeing my home state featured on something like this. I've never even heard of any of it.

At least your home state isn't a popular (albeit awesome) FX show where they misrepresent your accent like mine is. Lol

George gave an interview for part of a documentary series on influential writers for Sky Arts. Many of us here may have heard some of these inspirations or stories before, but I thought I would post it here for any interested in watching it.

I'm going to start the new series on A&E called The Eleven. It's about a series of murders in Texas in the 70's.

That sounds like an interesting story but that preview makes it look like there's going to be a lot of reenactments and those can get cringeworthy rather quickly.

Did any of you watch the Planet Earth documentaries when they first came out?
I was re-watching them the other day and surprisingly they still hold up quite well. The series came out in 2006, and it still looks good. I do have to say that when I originally watched it, it was with Sigourney Weaver narrating it. Which I really liked. The version that Netflix has is the original BBC one with David Attenborough narrating it. he's good, but I liked Sigourney better.

No offence but that last statement is blasphemy. David Attenborough is the unparalleled king of nature documentary broadcasting. A living legend who will never be surpassed.
The fact that he's still travelling the world doing what he's doing is extraordinary and he's probably our country's most beloved TV personality. You're right that original Planet Earth holds up well though, have you seen any of the new stuff? Blue Planet is airing at the moment and I need to get caught up, but it's phenomenal stuff.

David is great but I stand by my preference of Sigourny. I liked her voice better, if oh did it more engaging.

I wanted an Inconvenient Sequel. It seems they took the criticism of the first one being kind of like a power point presentation to heart. This was filmed better.
