In an incredibly jam packed episode full of incredible scenes one of my favorite scenes was the quiet conversation between Dany and Tyrion. The conversation showed the growing trust between these two characters, how much Dany values Tyrion's council and how much Tyrion values Dany. Dany will always do as she sees fit but she does listen to reason and practicality and Tyrion has stricken a good balance with this. He also speaks frankly to her about her father, which is always a good thing. There are two parts I really liked, when Tyrion told her the Daarion would not be the last man to fall in love with her and the second when Dany made her is hand. Oh, and of course when Tyrion told her that he truly believed in her, that was just great.
So, how good of a tag team will these two children of horrible father's make?

It's funny because this is another thing that sort of polarizes the Starks, because in contrast to all the others, their parents didn't suck it up. they both tried to leave the world a better place and live as honorably as they could given the circumstances.

Yes, but I think that Ned and Catelyn, Ned more so of course weren't pragmatic enough. These kids both the Starks and the Targaryen Lanninsters/Greyjoys are all children of war and with that comes a very different perspective. It won't be pretty but I think that they all will sow the seeds of a better place, but really won't live to see it.

I've always thought this would end with only 1 or 2 people left from the main characters.
who that would be is still up in the air.
does anyone know if they've "officially" announced S7 is the end????

No, they only announced or we heard from one of the directors that the 7th season will only have 7 episodes. I''m thinking we will get an 8th season.

I'm disappointed this thread isn't about Cersei/Qyburn.

A nice touch I thought was went Tyrion knelt. Tyrion has never knelt for anyone... even when his life was in danger with Joffrey commanding him to kneel. Just shows how much he respects Daenerys as a leader.
Very heart-warming moment. Can not wait to see these two characters interact in the books.

I'm disappointed this thread isn't about Cersei/Qyburn. This can be a dual thread. I'm totally willing to give Cersei and Qybburn respect. They got their shit done. I hadn't realized about the kneeling, that is a very nice touch. It's actually turned out to be a very lovely bond between the two.

There's definitely real chemistry between them and they play great off of one another. Having Tyrion finally admit he 'believes' in something is a real turning point for his character as well. While many will think there's romantic love there, I think Tyrion genuinely loves her with the same admiration as Jorah and while yes Jorah is *in* love with her, it's actually greater than that. It's pure love for her greater self and her strength of character that keeps them by her side even when she has no intentions of making them lovers. The same will be the case for Yara I am suspecting. Yara would probably like more, but she will love and respect Daenerys as her Queen in time too. Dany has that effect on everyone.

I replayed this scene over and over again (and teared up every time). It's such a monumental thing for Tyrion, always the cynic (as he admits), to finally believe in something/someone. The way Peter Dinklage can 'say' so much just by his eyes and his facial expression amazes me, and he just nailed it when Dany named him Hand of the Queen.
Cersei and Qyburn - another team working oh so smoothly together.
