I think the concept of northern independence is psychologically tied up with her sense of safety, she may soften once the prospect of removing Cersei from power becomes real to her. TBH northern independence is not feasible long term without a dissolution of the 7K. Six of the kingdoms under a single ruler will inevitably lead to attempts to conqueror the north, again and again and again. It will be like Dorne all over again, only smaller population, larger land and colder. Ironically the north's isolationism and not really getting involved with the south worked better when they were part of the 7K, but their leaders never went south. 100000% yes. I don't think Sansa feels super strongly about the North being independent, more does she feel strongly about never being trapped at the mercy of a king or queen again. besides daenerys, the only people she's ever known to care about the iron throne were literally monsters. joffrey was a violent sadist, cersei a manipulative bully, littlefinger a sociopathic liar...i wouldn't be shocked if sansa thinks that damn chair is just cursed. plus, her abuse at the hands of ramsay bolton probably just made her wary of outsiders in general. sansa has been shaped by experiences, so probably in her head: "wants the iron throne" + "isn't a stark" = "wants to hurt me" Now that she's literally came face to face with the walking, murderous dead, it will give her the strength to face Cersei; arguably her biggest bully and still psychological tormentor. I hope she goes south with the rest of the crew, she needs to participate in some fashion, advise/recruit allies etc. Helping take down Cersei will do so much for mental well being and bring her character arc full circle.

Can you guys imagine Sansa in Dragonstone? LOL. The promo makes it looks like she stays behind but the promos are always misleading.

The thing is who would she interact with at Winterfell if she stays, Bran? Because I'm sure that Arya would go south with everyone else. I'm just trying to think of what would work story wise in order for Sansa to stay at Winterfell.

Sansa knows Cersei arguably better than Tyrion because she isn't conflicted about wanting to do her harm. I think her input and advice about what kind of person Cersei is and the lengths she's willing to go will be invaluable. And if they're showing off more random houses, Sansa can be the diplomatic face of the Starkgaryen alliance, Jon is a fish out of water in the south and Dany is too intimidating. Sansa could put her game playing skills to good use and get some catharses like you said.

It would be pretty fucking weird for the only character whose mentor arc was about learning to play the game to sit out the finale when it looks like the finale is going to be about the game. Especially when the antagonist in the game is someone she has beef with. And also has beef with her. Obvs Sansa isn't going to be the one to kill Cersei, but she should definitely play a part in her downfall.

She has a lot of history with Cersei. More than any other character except for Jaime and Tyrion of course.

yeah sansa has been the main one going on about how dangerous cersei is, so it would be weird if she would sit in winterfell when it was really time to take her out.

Will be interesting to see them all around the painted table. I wonder if Yara will make an appearance now and if we'll see the Dornishman.

I hope we get a shot of some Northerners showing some gratitude and kindness toward Greywom and Missy cause the early images they used to depict northerners attitude towards them were not good. Maybe the kids bring missy some flowers. Or Royce who is not northern but in the club talks to Greyworm, something. I was hoping Greyworm would save Sam, Jorah did which brings Sam's kindness full circle. I would also like to see this very much. They didn't deserve the treatment they got and after how hard they fought and everything they've lost they do deserve at the bare minimum some respect. You know I made a mistake, I saw a brightened 4K clip of the battle. When the first man the Walls and Jorah grabs Sam, Greyworn and Jorah kept Sam between them for almost the whole battle. Towards the end when Jorah sees Drogon coming down and runs out the giant new hole in the wall, Greyworm spends almost the rest of the battle protecting Sam and you get a couple of shots with Sam behind him with his back to the Wall and Greyworm fighting the Wights. when the Wights get raised they get seperated. Never been a big Greyworm guy but he was pretty badass in this battle. Everyone was all omg here they come and the Unsullied were like fuck it, bring it on.
