Here's mine: 1. Favorite Scene / Location: Daenerys receiving dragon eggs as a gift from Illyrio, Books from Jorah and her Silver horse from Drogo at the wedding in Pentos. I loved the imagery and symbolism of the eggs as this gave us our first clue that Dany may not be the shy quiet girl who has no power and is simply 'property' being traded by her brother. 2. Favorite Character / Actor: Arya! I loved seeing her so mischievous and in trouble with her siblings and parents. Showing up late to the line-up with that ridiculous metal helmet on, fussing with Sansa "Where's the Imp?" ... "Would you PLEASE shut up!", shooting an arrow dead center on the target and Bran chasing after her, "stabbing" her needlework while Sansa gets praise, and especially her flinging food at Sansa at the feast! 3. Favorite Line / Quote: "Let me give you some advice, bastard. Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor and it can never be used to hurt you."
- Tyrion Lannister to Jon Snow 4. Least Favorite Scene: Tyrion in the brothel with Ros. Felt a bit too contrived and campy. Having Ros pretend not to know who Tyrion was felt awkward even though I know that's what they were going for, I liked it the least of all the character development setups for each of the various main characters introduced. Also, as agreed with day dreamer I disliked Tyrion's hair back then haha. 5. Least Favorite Character: Theon. I wasn't sure I would like Alfie as Theon yet or where they were going with his character, being such a tragic story in the books. He grew on me quickly after the first couple of episodes though! I also loved/hated how quickly he was ready to kill the direwolf pups so he won most disliked for that episode!

1. Favorite Scene / Location: When they found the direwolf pups. 2. Favorite Character / Actor: Arya. She was instantly my favorite when I started watching this. Bran comes in 2nd, Robb with no shirt is in 3rd. lol 3. Favorite Line / Quote: "The man that passes the sentence should swing the sword." 4. Least Favorite Scene: I was going to go with the Brothel because of the cringe factor, but I think I'll choose Viserys telling Dany she has a "woman's body." That scene made me so uncomfortable. It's bad when Jaime and Cersei actually fucking is the less creepy thing to happy between siblings in this episode. 5. Least Favorite Character: Viserys. Man, fuck this guy.

Favorite Character / Actor: Mark Addy as King Robert, he's so good 3. Favorite Line / Quote: Tyrion's line about being a bastard to Jon, love that. 4. Least Favorite Scene: The brothel 5. Least Favorite Character: Theon

Favourite Scene/LocationRobert and Eddard in the crypts. To me, it is perfect. The first of many wonderful Addy/Bean scenes. Robert is at his best when Lyanna is the topic. And I love that last line. Not all of them. I still get chills from that. Favourite Character/ActorIs this even a serious question? My answer will probably be the same for the next six episodes Favourite Line/QuoteThis one was tough. So many great lines. Best one was probably: Let me tell you something, bastard. Never forget what you are, the rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor and it can never be used to hurt you. Least Favourite SceneThe most popular/obvious choice was the brothel, but personally I don't like the cold open. It just drags on for too long for me. I still feel nothing when the three rangers die. Least Favourite SceneI'll go with Waymar Royce. Will and Gared get (dis)honourable mentions.

1. Favorite Scene / Location: Dany's wedding 2. Favorite Character / Actor: Ned & Cat 3. Favorite Line / Quote: Tyrion's bastard qoute. Honorable mention to Robb saying Jon never met a girl he likes as much as his own hair. 4. Least Favorite Scene: None tbh, but if I have to pick one the brothel, I guess. 5. Least Favorite Character: Sansa

1. Favorite Scene / Location: Dany receiving the dragon eggs / Winterfell
2. Favorite Character / Actor: Arya and Ned
3. Favorite Line / Quote: Probably the bastard one
4. Least Favorite Scene: The whorehouse, gods that campy
5. Least Favorite Character: Sansa or Theon, which is ironic given what happens in later seasons.

1. Favorite Scene/Location: Dany receiving the dragon eggs from Illyrio or Robert's Arrival at Winterfell.
2. Favorite Character/Actor: Robert. His first line, "You've got fat" and the looks him and Ned exchange are hilarious.
3. Favorite Line: The bastard quote that everyone else mentioned.
4. Least Favorite Scene: I don't really have one, but I guess the brothel scene.
5. Least Favorite Character: Sansa

1. Favorite Scene / Location: Beyonnd the wall. I've alkways loved the mysticism and the somewhat terrifying nature of the unknown in film and TV. There's something unsettling about the idea of a wilderness in which an unknown creature is stalking and hunting the characters, and it just all comes together in that location, even though it is such a short scene it just whets the appetitie to the series so well. Feudalism and petty struggles which are utterly pointless in the face of a new threat which is coming to mercilessly slaughter the characters we come to love. That, and the horror movie buff in me loves the zombie/necromantic element of it all. I dunno if I'd of been as hooked to the series as I was if not for that amazing opening... I'd have to say the king's arrival is a close second though.
2. Favorite Character / Actor: Sean Bean. His Ned Stark was always a very likeable character and I just found his early conflict of juggling family and duty was something that always came off well. That and Bean, along with Lena Headey were the two major actors in the first series...
3. Favorite Line / Quote: "You've got fat."
4. Least Favorite Scene: The Essos scenes. Not that they were bad, but I've never liked the jump between locations. Then again, GoT is filled with them.
5. Least Favorite Character: Drogo. I thought he was probably the most boring character this episode, although he did improve greatly with time.

1. Favorite Scene / Location: The archery scene at Winterfell. Just a perfect introduction to the Stark family. Second would be Robert's arrival.
2. Favorite Character / Actor: Ned.
3. Favorite Line / Quote: "Let me give you some advice bastard. Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor, and it can never be used to hurt you."
4. Least Favorite Scene: The brothel scene, especially because Tyrion's second scene with Jon was so much better.
5. Least Favorite Character: Drogo and Sansa.

Here we can discuss our most (and least) favorites of the Premiere episode! Vote for your favorites or least favorites for Episode 1 - Winter Is Coming. What was your ... 1. Favorite Scene / Location: 2. Favorite Character / Actor: 3. Favorite Line / Quote: 4. Least Favorite Scene: 5. Least Favorite Character: Discuss why or why not! Favorite Scene: The deserter's execution - That fog was everything. Beautifully setting up the funereal ways of the Starks and the doom and gloom nature of the North. Close runner-up would be the dead stag and the finding of the direwolves. There's something quite magical in all that putrefaction (other than the symbolism of it); some great atmosphere there. Favorite Performance: Isaac Hempstead-Wright - In my opinion the greatest child actor the show ever had (only rivaled by Kerry Ingram in season 3). His reaction to the execution says it all with utter quietness. Bran's the first one to smell something foul in the old ways, without being able to articulate what it is. Sophie Turner also does a wonderful job in her scene with Cersei; she was great from the start. And Sean Bean is fantastic throughout. I don't really dislike any scene or character this episode so I'll save these categories for future episodes

What a fun thread! I don't know how I missed it first time around a year ago. But:
1. Favorite scene/Location was when all the Starks family lined up for King Robert (and when Arya was playing hooky with the helmet on until the last minute). And loved, loved the aerial, then close up scene of the royal retinue approaching, loved the music! What a spectacular scene, and how much foundational information it gave us.
2. Favorite character/actor is Arya/Maise. I fell in love with her from the very first, loved her spirit, loved how she skirted around rules and convention - plus, she was so cute in that helmet!
3. Favorite Line / Quote: Gosh, I only watched it a couple of days ago for what must have been the 100th time, and I can't think of a quote. The lines that stand out to me the most are when Jon points out that there are 5 direwolf pups and that there are 5 Stark children and that the direwolf is their sigil...that it means something.
4. Least favorite scene: Theon with the direwolves because he's so anxious to kill them. Also his arrogant behavior towards both Robb and Jon.
5. Least Favorite Character: Theon in this episode.
