What did you think of the white walker scene? Loved it and I was not expecting it. (I only glanced at the spoilers because I am always curious, but I like to keep some of the mystery). Anyway, I understand they are at Eastwatch, but are they now on this side of wall? It looked like water, but then they were on horseback, so I did not understand where they were in relation to the wall.

But they bring the storm and the winter and the giants with them, woohoo Wall is not enough in clashing with this force. But still behind.

Watched it a second time and am more forgiving of Sam's shit-fest montage but only because it gave a bit of comic-relief to an otherwise rather dry bit of scenes there at the Citadel. I enjoyed his talk with the archmaester and of course what he discovers in the book about Dragonglass (I'm sure there's other secrets yet to read). That's setting up what's to come nicely.
I'm still not a huge fan of Euron and while he's purposely over the top, I feel like he's a bit too modern for some reason. His snappy jibes were good though so he wins points for much better jokes than the ones he had at the King's Moot. Cersei played along but clearly seems to barely conceal her disgust for him. It works!
The solid open and close of the episode remain the two strongest scenes but there are so many great moments in the middle. Sandor Clegane wins MVP in this episode for me, even over my girl Arya! Not that Arya's mass murder of the Freys wasn't amazing (it was) and we love fist-pumping "FUCK YEAH!" moments like that but Sandor's quiet "Gravedigger" moment moved me more than I ever could have expected even having already known a bit about this scene already going into it. I like seeing transformations and I think we just saw Sandor's.
I already said it before, but Sansa and Jon at odds is a great decision on the writer's parts. They took a chance with that and it could have gone terribly wrong. But it didn't. Sophie and Kit nailed it, have great chemistry together and make very believable siblings struggling to regain so much they've lost in their family. It was very cathartic. Sansa gave some shade to Littlefinger so we know what's really up. It'll all turn out ok for them.
Great episode ending with my Queen home at last. Dragonstone needs a good cleaning and airing out but I can't wait to see her start to rule from her home territory!

Great episode, best premiere than Season 5 and 6. The Hound's redemption arc is one of the best of the show. And the cinematography was stunning all around.

My understanding is that the flames show what is to come, not the present. I keep seeing people mention a single wight giant, did people miss it was 3 of them?? Yes, I missed that! Damn! Three??? And we have no Wun Wun!

One question though. Where is Sweet Robin? Apparently boarding on Gendry's boat for now on.
