What do you think Beric's role will be in S8? To give his last life to save one of our main cast, probably Jon or Dany. Interesting, I'm not a fan of LSH so I'm curious about who will receive his "kiss", if someone does. I don't know why but Arya being the receiver just crossed my mind. She will basically do LSH's work next season. On the other hand I cannot see Jon dying again. I actually see little point with killing him in the first place since he is the same in the show.

I don't know why but Arya being the receiver just crossed my mind. She will basically do LSH's work next season. I wondered about that. Then I thought maybe Sandor, but 'why?' Unless Sansa and Arya beg him to save the Hound because of their experiences. It would have to be for something big. But something that may happen the same way in the books. Which makes no sense at Beric gave his last kiss to LSH. With that gone in the books, who would be able to resurrect someone from the dead? Mel? Possible.

Sandor is an interesting possibility, maybe Beric feels too detached and empty to carry on and opts to give his life to the Houd, since he seems to be on the path of redemption. I agree that it has to be something big but not to big as in the books Beric is gone and, unlesss it changes, Mel will resurrect Jon. I feel like using her again would be cheap. Maybe a person can only resurrect one person, since Thoros does not seem to have called back to life anyone after Beric. I see Sandor as a strong possibility. Then he will be "undead" like his brother.

Of course. His detachment from life, which was light in my opinion, could have been caused by a 1000 other reasons, like facing a war at impossible odds. He did not need to die for that. Do you think he is different? Any interesting theory to share?

I thought Beric died beyond the Wall too. Whoops. We thought that too until Lads2 said that Thoros will die in the wight bear attack instead of Beric. Gendry then runs back to Eastwatch to send a raven to Dany and presumably stays there with Davos.

Doesn't Jaime meet with Tyrion in ep5? That'll be good. There are a lot of reunions in this season. *Arya and Nymeria (703) *Arya and Sansa (704) *Brienne and Jaime (707) *Brienne and Sandor (707) *Cersei and Tyrion (707) *Dany and Jorah (705) *Davos and Gendry (705) *Jaime and Tyrion (705) *Jon and Theon (704) *Jon and Tyrion (703) *Sandor and Gregor (707) *Sansa and Bran (703) *Tyrion and Bronn (705) I know I skipped some, but shit.

Arya and Bran too. Only three reunions I can think of for Season 8: -Bran/Sam with Jon, -Meera [and her father] and Bran, -Daenerys and Daario

Do you think he is different? Any interesting theory to share? It's not really a theory, but on a personal level I think it plays with his head some. Like if he does not personally feel like he is really alive it could push him towards a more self sacrificing attitude, but Jon has always been a little like that. Like the Wight attack, doess he stay back to get everyone clear thinking it does not matter if he lives or dies. I think he may have some conversations with Beric, to me that makes sense and who knows what direction that pushes him in. But then you have Dany, how will she react to it, she already had one Undead man in her life. So there is a parallel to Drogo in a way. It may have more to do with end game than it does with his current situation.

I mean to go from Dragonstone, to beyond the way, explore, send Gendry back to send a raven to Dragonstone and have Dany come north would take months. On the show it may take a few days.

On the show it may take a few days. It would definitely take a least a month for Jon and the company to travel up there and back so hopefully that's mentioned in dialogue. But the wight hunt itself would probably only be a few days. Plus Dany coming north wouldn't take that long since she's riding Drogon.
