Totally Team Cersei on that whole thing with Ellaria Sand. Indira is fab, but her character is not and I could never get behind her dubious motivations for all the shit she's pulled. Also, how does NCW get handsomer with every season? I get it, if I were Cersei, I'd want to have incest with that man, too.
Kind of expected Casterly Rock to look more majestic, it looked basic as hell.

Indira is fab, but her character is not and I could never get behind her dubious motivations for all the shit she's pulled. This is part of the whole Dornish shitshow. With Arianne and Young Griff cut, Dorne storyline had nowhere to go but go around in circles. They merged Arianne with Ellaria. That's like mixing maple syrup with oxtail.

I'm so behind on all the talk but just a quick gathering of my thoughts.. Great episode, slower but not at all in a bad way. In the first scene I thought it would be Theon and was shocked that it was actually Jon arriving I truly loved the scenes with Jon and Tyrion in this episode, their first chat "Bastard of Winterfell - Dwarf of Casterly Rock" and the looks they gave each other was very much like the King Robert/Ned scene we saw in the first episode where Robert tells Ned he got fat and Ned just gives him the look Davos was a giant as usual, he jumps in when Jon is talking stupid. Dany mentioned Rhaegar to Jon! Winterfell was good, I liked how a short scene gave us a full picture of Sansa'a ability to rule. I thought it would be Arya at the gates and felt that Bran was a little off with his reactions to Sansa but very emotional scenes the ones they shared. I bet Sansa's thinking that her brothers are the weirdest Jon always talks about ice zombies and now Bran thinks he can see everything Like is she the only normal one in the family? I really like how the war is being brought to screen, not every battle has to have it's own episode and epic lenght. And also, not every plan works and the enemy is also plotting. Euron was a rock star as usual, riding his horse all the way to the throne room and really taking his audience in the streets. Cersei is stringing him along nicely.

Amazing episode <3 Once I saw that it starts with Jon arrival, I freaked out so much, that I had to calm myself with a cigarette I didn't expect such a kickass start And then it was even better. A lot of small call backs, I love that, they make this story organic. Mentioning Robb's early victory and that Jaime is slow learner, really great. Finally the Jon that was promised! Confident, fierce, still gloomy, but finally also sassy, like book Jon. And focused on his goal. Great. He's comment that he doesn't like talking make me laugh so hard, even more with Dany's reaction. She's totally into not-a-talker-type (Drogo sentiment or was it always her type? and such a contrast to Daario and Tyrion! love is in the air and it starts like Envie said with this vibe from romantic comedies, so funny ) Cersei is amazing like always. But also Jaime shines here. When he looks at her calmly sleeping, he loves her truly, it's so sad. Back to Cersei. I'm impressed that she's so prepared to this war, she should be doomed from the beginning, but she's winning now! But two things make me also sad about her. Once she told Ellaria that she can't sleep at night and plans her revenge over and over. And that she (cause I guess it was her order or unspoken suggestion) make her maiden looks like mini-Cersei. These two things show how huge her pain still is, how she didn't cope with her emotions, pain, humiliation. She is in so power now, but she still lives the past, that's heartbreaking Olenna was awesome, so does Sansa, Sam was ok, poor Varys always knock out by Red Priestess But what shocked me most in this episode, well in all S7 now, and one of the strongest shocks in all series for me was Bran. I don't understand complaints about his scene, I see so much emotion in his emotionless face. Gods, look at his eyes when Sansa's hugging him. He's so overwhelmed by his unimaginable responsibility for world, that weight of his burden crushed my heart. So shocking, so unspeakable sad

The consistency in this episode was excellent. Tyrions knowledge of the sewer systems, the Bronn quote, Jon and Tyrion quoting themselves... Little details like that go a huge mile in making the series believable. I always fuss over the little stuff, but when it lines up neatly, it really goes far in making things work. How fucking great was Tyrion quoting himself? OMG wise man once said, I literally cried, and Dany catches him on this

Dinklage really shined in this episode. Other than a couple S6 scenes (Dany naming him Hand, and unchaining the dragons) I think this was his best work since he left Westeros.

Yeah fully agree with this. It helps that he's able to confront past events, with meeting Jon and talking about Cersei. I've not been as down on his last two seasons as some but his story was always going to be more resonant back in Westeros.

Littlefinger is such a fucking joke at this point, I hope someone puts him out of his misery soon. Yeah his character just seems out of his element. And the quote he delievered is showcasing him losing his wits. I think once he came north, it started his downward spiral. Which in a way makes sense, he's in Stark territory now.

It was even before that, imo. He hasn't felt like a threat since he left KL. He put all of his eggs in the basket of a weak little boy and a girl who's family he helped destroy. Not very smart.

Great episode. I'm not sure whether I thought it was as good as last week’s but still excellent in its own right. King’s LandingEuron has hit his stride. Whatever doubts I had after 605 and 701 are now gone. Pilou is killing it. I didn’t think I’d ever feel sorry for a Sand Snake, but Indira and Rosabell acted the scene perfectly, without even speaking a word! Jaime and Cersei... I wasn’t expecting the incest to just go away, but hopefully that ends soon. Jaime saying “no” here is an obvious parallel to Cersei saying “no” in 403. DragonstoneI wasn’t as eagerly anticipating this as others, but it was really good! The meeting on the beach was great, the meeting in the throne room was great, Varys and Mel were great, Tyrion and Jon were great, Dany and Jon were great! I love seeing these characters interact for the first time, especially Davos and Tyrion. I was hoping for some Blackwater callback, and they delivered! In short, excellent! No complaints at all! OldtownJim Broadbent is doing a really good job. I’m glad Sam’s getting more time this season because it means we get to see more of this new character. WinterfellSansa walking around Winterfell giving orders was great. Some strong Catelyn vibes. I think this is one of Sophie’s best episodes. The look on her face when she sees Bran was fantastic. Of course Bran’s being a creepy bastard! He sees everything. That’s bound to change your personality a little. Casterly Rock/HighgardenI feel like the two castles looked a little underwhelming, but we’ve only ever seen fan-art of the two so I won’t judge it harshly. I loved Tyrion’s callback to when he said he was put in charge of all the drains and sewers of CR. It’s just a shame Cersei’s one step ahead AGAIN. Not a good episode for Team Targaryen. Grey Worm’s days are surely numbered An excellent ending for Olenna. As others have said, it’s always great to see Jaime talking with people other than Cersei. And Diana Rigg knocked it out of the park Also, another great rendition of Rains of Castamere, both outside Highgarden and in the credits. Didn’t think Djawadi could find yet another way to mix up that theme, but he did! Thinking about it, I may change the rating to a 10 after a rewatch. Too many great scenes.

Also really glad that Dany has admitted that she WAS raped by Drogo. It might be that show finally is adressing this myth that it was her one true love. Chain of events were different in the books as opposd to the show - as he asked her before their first night. Still he had a sex whenever he wanted and whether she liked it or not.
Could it be that they're moving from Drogo as one true love to Jon? Timing is suspicious because Dany has never mentioned this before but usually victims of the rape admit it after a long time. It's probably not that easy to admit it.
Did she loved him later on? Sort of did but call it one true love as some is pushing it and Stockholm Syndrome played a part in this.
I've seen people calling out Weiss and Benioff on writing in this episode, how terrible it was. In fact, writing was absolutely spot on for many characters, which I have to say sometimes is not always correct.
