You really should. I think Rowling really avoided all problems Star Wars and The Hobbit had.

I have high hopes for the sequel. Although admittedly I hate Johnny Depp and his presence in the first film almost ruined it for me so who knows how I'll take to him in the next.

I don't hate Johnny Depp as an actor, he's done some great work in the past, but I cringed hard when he showed up in Fantastic Beasts. I think he's an absolutely terrible choice to play a villain that we're meant to take seriously, especially considering how great and genuinely menacing Colin Farrell was in the role. That said, I thought Fantastic Beasts was wonderful, so I am still very much looking forward to the sequel, despite Johnny Depp. Though I strogly disagree with the notion that Rowling has managed to avoid problems with all these Harry Potter spin-offs. Sure, Fantastic Beasts may have turned out good, but the story of Cursed Child is a terrible, ugly mess and I hate the fact that it exists with a passion. To be honest, when it comes to Harry Potter, my only canon are the seven books, and I mostly try to ignore everything that came after, even Fantastic Beasts. Not gonna lie, I find it quite disappointing that apparently the movies won't acknowledge the fact that Dumbledore is gay and that his relationship with Grindelwald might have been more than just platonic friendship.

Cursed Child is just a play. If JKR ever really writes Book 8, that play would be completely ignored. Just like what happened with Star Wars and EU.
I don't think they ever said that Dumbledore's sexuality would be ignored.

I really liked The Crimes of Grindelwald. Rowling still writes it like it's a book, not a movie. For some people, that.s a problem, but I feel it really feels honest and original for a blockbuster.
I like Newt, I like Dumbledore and Grindelwald and I really hope it will do well on box office.

Wasn’t happy with the Depp casting but he wasn’t actually bad at all, in fact he really seems to have embraced the role. Unfortunately the film doesn’t give him or anyone else enough material to work with (it’s far too expansive for a two hour movie which makes the whole thing suffer...like butter spread over too much toast...) but what he does get he performs well
