A while ago there was something about, i think it was the Weekend or something? And doing music for Game of Thrones. Could well be a cover of something that appears in an episode, like Jenny of Oldstones it's not. (that idea never made sense.)

That feels to me like a bit of a stretch but it's out there...

Based on who has been seen on set during what we assume is the final two episodes filming (who is still alive), it seems to me we could speculate pretty strongly that they are setting up a potential for a democracy with representatives for the end.....House Stark, House Tully, House Baratheon, House Arryn, House Greyjoy, potentially House Lannister, (I don't think there are any Tyrell's left, right? - so perhaps the Tarley's would represent the Reach)....oh, and I always seem to forget Dorne (ha)....who's even left there?

As the characters and houses are slowly whittled down - it really does seem like they're leaning towards this type of government style and I think that would be great as it would move Westeros out of the 'middle ages' and onward to progress for whoever survives this long night.

There's been enough talk about "breaking the wheel" and no one really wanting to be ruled by one monarch anymore while having some self-determination, that some form of representative democracy has to be the end goal. And I think that whatever forms this takes, Jon and Dany won't be part of it.

I volunteer, we all know I know the books and writing a lot is clearly not a problem for me. But be prepared for some unexpected twists when SerCreighton shows up at Winterfell.

GRRM loves to mirror history. Perhaps Jon and Dany become the monarchs that no longer rule, and Westeros becomes a place with a constitutional monarchy, with a separate ruling body of representatives. They can remain symbols and influence the kingdom, but are no longer involved in legislative activities.....
I love this idea. But it might be too much sweet for the bittersweet....unless the bitter is Dany giving up her crown of rule for the people (oh, and all the death...)....

Didn’t Roman Emperors choose their successors? Like it wasn’t by bloodline? They could go that route.
They could also create a larger senate type of advisory body. Like the small council but bigger.

Like here in the UK where the Queen is the head of state but other than to advise the PM, she has no active political role. Technically she still has to sign every piece of legislation going through Parliament and hypothetically she could refuse to sign it, but she wouldn't.
