Do you guys think Jaime will tell Team Winterfell about the Golden Company? Or will he only tell that she won’t be sending troops? I think Jaime's going to be honest this time. It's why he left Cersei after all, she wanted to lie and not send any help at all. That made him so angry he was willing to leave her over it, so I see no reason for him to withhold information from the Stark/Targaryen camp at this point. Paired with his "I fight for the living and I intend to keep that promise" tells me he's really turned the corner now on his story arc. Also, I think he's going to have a fairly revealing talk with Bran, who knows Jaime's whole journey so there's no way to cover up Cersei's deception anyway.

Tbh I think bran is playing 4D chess and putting certain pieces where they belong regardless of his family’s safety or not. He could have told everyone in 801 that Cersei’s not sending her troops (and that’s actually why he looked at Tyrion in a weird way imo) but he didn’t. So it’s definitely not certain he’ll tell about the GC imo.

He seems to have a 'plan' in place that has to happen in a specific order which is why he tells someone (in the trailer) "Everything you did brought you to where you are now. Where you belong: home." That definitely feels like the chess game you mentioned - each move has a reason and a specific outcome. But once Jaime realizes Bran knows everything, all the way back even beyond being pushed out the window, that's going to be pretty humbling for Jaime, don't you think? I'm surprised anyone at Winterfell would think they can get away with being deceptive with Bran constantly staring everyone down, haha.

I don’t even think it would be about being deceptive if Jaime doesn’t tell them. I kinda think it would just make sense with his character. Like the same way he didn’t tell anyone in KL about the Mad King’s secret wildfire caches all over the city lmao.

Yeah, I've read a lot of people's reasoning for why it's Jon, or Arya, Sansa, etc., but I do think it's probably Theon since they made that really moving scene between Theon/Yara in 801 - that's definitely foreshadowing that Theon's coming 'home' to Winterfell (probably to die in the battle) and I also think he might be the "old friend" Bran's really waiting for - not Jaime as we thought at the end of 801 as well.

Having any child participate in this or other battles is a monumentally stupid decision and the idea is cringeworthy for me. Ymmv though If you had 10 year olds with small bows on the wall maybe. In the field they would be nothing but fodder. No skill, no physical ability, most likely to panic, and most likely to get people killed. Princess pouty face appears to be the only minor I have seen this season and none of the pics show kids marching out. Back in the day they did you use kids but not really like that. Squires wore silver Spurs so enemies would know they were kids and not to engage them. Usually they took care of the wagons, and animals, and set up tents, prepared food etc. it should be the same here. Maybe bows on the wall but that exposes them to opposing fire. Normally it would be bring supplies like arrows, pitch, rocks, water, etc. Battles were nowhere near as fast as game of thrones. The women of Bear island are brought up as warriors, and they tend to be badass fighters. They are also over 10, way over 10. I love the Women of Bear island in the books, but Lyanna was is a kid and was left behind as such. The Mormonts have been extremely strong supporters of the Starks and are excellent warriors but she's just a kid and would be useless in a fight. Of course I say this and the show has her kill a hundred Wights and chase off the NK in episode 3. Jons order was out of desperation, he had no ally's. Given a lack of Wight archers having never seen them I would say if they want them to fight bows on the Wall. Now reason to march them out to their death. Last and most important Jon said that before he knew he would have 40,000 Dothraki screamers, 10,000 plus Unsullied, any remnants from houses supporting Dany, and 2 Dragons. He got real fighters now.

I get what you mean but also I really do think Jaime should have told that KL has nukes underground everywhere lol. But obviously I don’t think the scenarios are exactly the same. I just think that will tell about the troops NOT coming but won’t tell about the GC and Cersei’s plans for them. And him keeping the Aerys thing to himself was just another instance that came to my mind about him withholding certain info. But I think the main reason why Jaime won’t tell about the GC is because saying anything more than her not sending troops is just asking for trouble and imo he won’t risk it. He also won’t tell because he still loves Cersei imo and he’d want her and their unborn child to be somewhat protected in KL.

Wasn't there a Northern family cast this season or am I misremembering? Wondering if we get another WW horror scene this ep.

Wasn't there a Northern family cast this season or am I misremembering? Wondering if we get another WW horror scene this ep. There were casting calls for a few northern roles: • A fearless Northern Girl (aged 8 - 10) who was brought up in a family of soldiers, filming during the week of November 17th • A Northern Farmer (aged 25 - 35) who is a straightforward honest man of simple tastes working on the land, filming the week of November 17th • A Northern sentry (aged 18 - 25) appearing with the leading cast, filming the first week of December I think these might have also been for the North and based on metadata we know some WF night scenes from 802 were shot the first and second week of December: • A strong and agile boy (aged 8 - 12) from a poor background who has to fight to make his way in the world, filming during the last week of November and the first week of December • A sad-eyed young girl (aged 9 - 11) who has one excellent scene with a leading cast member, filming the week of December 8th in Northern Ireland

So I'd expect to see some of them this episode ... and some may not survive the ep.
