I wanted to give the episode an 8.5 but I settled on a 9 for now, I might bring it down to an 8, I need to think about it. Nonetheless, it was a very good episode and much better than episode 1.

I put this in the wrong thread earlier but oh well. 10. I'm shipper trash.
LIKES
Jaime and Brienne! The way he looked at her and when she stood up for him and he knighted her, ugh. Loved it.
I laughed my ass off at every word out of Tormund's mouth.
GHOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jaime and Bran
Theon and Bran
Theon and Sansa
The war council meeting
Arya and Gendry! It's weird seeing Maisie do a scene like that but after all the foreshadowing of "you have a son, and I have a daughter" I'm glad they waited and did it like this. I'm glad they didn't brush off Melisandre raping Gendry too.
Jorah getting Heartsbane was a beautiful scene.
I loved the Night's Watch men getting back together.
Despite not liking Jonerys, I actually really like how the crypt scene went.
DISLIKES
"Dany" still sounds weird in the show.
Meera should be here. She's killed a white walker too and I hate that she's not part of this.

Now that is more like it. Proper emotion, real reunions, not the cursory ones last time. Sansa and Dany made up and grew up .... more or less. A genuine 'tomorrow we die' episode. Loved it. 9

Not sure how to rate this, it was a very good episode, very personal, sentimental, reflective, all done to create a melancholic feel and it succeeded at doing that. Some of the scenes did fall flat for me though. Like Arya and Gendry I understood the perspective but didn't feel the emotion, I thought her scene with Sandor was better. Tyrion had a great episode as did Sansa, Jaime and Brie.
Jaime is a catalyst in the episode and we sort of see him all over the place.
I like that Sansa and Dany ended up exactly where I said they should, alone talking. Though they went back to tension when they should of left it alone, there was no need for it and Sansa is smarter then that, she had been building up trust with her for 10 seconds and goes all what about the north. Look you don't know if there will be an after so wait till there is one. Wars have a way of bonding people.
Seeing the watch together again was my favorite moment, it made me sad and happy.
Jenny of Oldstones was a perfect choice for tone. I am looking at 8.5 I'll vote when it's an 8 or a 9. I usually like to see it twice before I vote but as much as I liked it on am divided on weather I want to watch it again. All in all a very good episode

10. If I'm being completely rational, I should probably give it a 9, otherwise there's nowhere to go for next week's sure-to-be breathtaking showcase. But I really, really loved it!
I remember James Hibberd mentioned Episode 2 being almost like a play, and it definitely had that feeling. It’s only the third single-location episode in GOT history, and the first not to center on a major battle (though obviously it includes the lead-up to one, and next week’s episode – which is also likely to be a single-location showcase – will be pure carnage).
Jaime knighting Brienne had me in tears. What an astonishingly beautiful scene. Arya coupling up with Gendry had me cheering as well ... although I'm now terrified that one of them is going to die next week. I loved the Sansa-Dany scene as well.
And Podrick fucking Payne! Who knew that Daniel Portman could sing like that?! I got heavy 'Pippin singing as Faramir charges off towards Osgiliath' vibes there, and Oh My God did it work. It was definitely a stylistic departure for Thrones ... but I think that's why it worked so incredibly well. Nothing will ever be the same after this upcoming battle, and they're letting us know it.

I gave it a 10, I could easily watch an entire season of episodes like this and wouldn't miss action scenes at all Not that I don't like those as well, next week could be another 10 for me. This episode had so many great character moments, so much love and warmth between characters. Very well done and very fitting before an episode of total mayhem.

Now this episode is way better than the first. There are so many great emotional scenes it almost has the pre-season 5 quality.
Pros: -definitely the chemistry. Unlike the last episode, the interactions and relationships between the characters looks very genuine. Even Jon and Dany in the crypt is very good even though I wasn't into their relationship. My favorite are Theon and Sansa, Sam, and Jaime and Brienne. -no cringe dialogue - The Jenny's song. It's a perfect song to play before they are prepare for the war. Gives a LOTR vibe.
9/10. Yeah I couldn't think of some cons. But hey, most of the episodes aren't perfect.

I put this in the wrong thread earlier but oh well. 10. I'm shipper trash. Same here, totally not ashamed to admit it. All the FEELS in this episode with the shipping... Arya/Gendry, Jaime/Brienne, hell I'm even rooting for Sansa/Theon but I know better, Theon's a goner. This episode did have a very somber, appropriately sad but emotional tension feel to it. The "Drink before The Great War" episode was perfect. A 10 from me.

Great episode, one of the best written ones in my opinion. There was a real sense of impending doom in this episode - combining that with long scenes and excellent transitions in a single location gave it a very unique flavour compared to any other episode the show has done. 10 from me.

The most GoT's made me feel since The Door. Has to be a ten for that alone. Everything from Pod singing onwards is as good an ending sequence as GoT ever aired. A great last moment to let characters breathe and talk before the last few episodes where I imagine there'll be less time to. And of course an elegy for the likely many characters in WF who won't make it past the next episode.
