There were a number of scenes that I didn't realize I needed until I saw them but Brienne first grudgingly admitting that Pod was "ok" with his fighting skills and then the wordless moment when she looks for his approval on being knighted and his small nod was amazing (also Pod is now definitely going to die and we're all going to care about it a lot more than we should because they have these scenes here).
The Shireen stand-in was a great moment for Davos and the fact they remembered that Shireen taught Gilly to read as well which allowed her and Davos to share that moment was outstanding.
Loved the scene with NW guys (with the hilariously shrunken Ghost who looks like he teleported in from S1).
Sansa has now had the 2 most emotional reunion scenes on the show (with Jon and now Theon). Maybe she's just the best at giving heartfelt hugs.
And I do like that they're fully leaning in to the notion that Tyrion has been screwing up for a while now so it doesn't seem as much like bad writing but a concerted part of his narrative arc that they will need to somehow resolve this season. He's either going to do something really smart and heroic to redeem himself or try something he thinks is smart and heroic and fail spectacularly. Either way, much better than allowing him just to be diminished as a character in his final few seasons which looked to be what was happening.

I'm still not quite sure why they are keeping the episode titles so secret, because the two we've had so far are in no way spoilery, unless you actually watch the episode. Maybe they just like making us all crazy.
I wonder if Tyrion's hopeful prediction that they "will live" is at all an omen. He specifically mentions himself, Davos, Brienne and Jaime surviving battles. That would not bode well for the ones who were unnamed in the room (Pod, Thormund, Jorah)....

Game of Thrones - Season 8 Episode 2 - Game Revealed I can't tell if they shifted scenes around, but it's interesting that for Jaime's inquest in the Great Hall it says it's Scene 3 because I would have thought that was the opening to begin with.

This video states that Tyrion's fuck ups started after Jon arrived. He already lost Dorne and Highgarden by the time that Jon arrived. He was outsmarted by Jamie and Cersei. It makes much more sense that this was Tyrion trying to have it both ways, help Daenerys win, while trying to protect his siblings. His failed plans and his idea of the wight hunt, knowing full well who Cersei is only fuel that narrative. This video is basically blaming Dany for Tyrion's failures. Eww, next.

The video also doesn't talk about the resolution to this arc will be, just that they've been building up mistrust between Dany and Tyrion (which is a pretty obvious thing D&D have been doing for a while).
I think too much is being made of that gap in conversation with Cersei and I lean towards it being more of a shorthand for where the convo would inevitably go after he discovered her pregnancy rather than some diabolical plan they want to obscure from the audience. It's more likely that they just wanted Cersei's announcement that she would send her armies be more dramatic if the audience learned of it at the same time as Dany/Jon. Nothing more.
Tyrion's conflict has been about having his complicated feelings about his family clouding his judgment on how to properly advise Dany on taking the Iron Throne from them (something Dany continually points out). So the resolution has to come from him either putting his family aside and stepping up for Dany once and for all or for him to continue on the path to try and have it both ways and screw up royally as a result.

moiafI guess my concern over the motives of the NK center around the fact that the idea itself the destruction of memory. It's very abstract and very something we see with Thanos and the Avengers. Difference is Thanos is there to sell it. While the NK is a dud, and the Three eyed Raven says it as a sort of off hand remark, Sam attempts to sell it but it. All the three eyed Raven can do is see limited moments in time. If the three eyed Raven wanted to watch 100 years of someone's life it would take him 100 years. He has a lot of knowledge to sure but it's all limited and he can't stay to long either. But because it's trendy D&D may like it. They said people end up in essentially the same place but we still know the story is very different from the books. The Grove should be very revealing if there is something else going on. Tyrion has to do something his name has been dragged through the mud for well over a season and it's gotta be smart, really smart. Can you imagine them doing this again in KL, okay we are going to place wheels in the court yard and that will lure out the NK and then we spring the trap again. He'll never see it coming again. So far the three eyed Raven hasn't show anything to indicate why the NK really sees any value in focusing on him. He hasn't done anything to mess with his plan. If he didn't exist you would be at pretty much the same place. I would of liked a Dany and Bran scene but my guess is he is on her shit list.

The video is blaming Tyrion's failures on Dany. It's saying she's so obsessed with IT, he had to manipulate her and come up with crazy plans in order to steer her North. The major point being left out, is that Tyrion had already lost Iron Fleet, Dorne and Highgarden before he even shook hands with Jon at the beach. It's an easy out for Tyrion to explain away his fuck ups, by blaming Dany. But it doesn't even make sense with what we know happened in Season 7.

I'm not going to be that harsh, the video certainly notes Tyrion's failures before Dany meeting Jon. I think the point they were trying to make was that Tyrion and Dany can't have an honest conversation anymore because he doesn't have her trust because of all these previous screw ups and so he believes he has to try and manipulate her by withholding info. I don't really agree with that. I think he's been trying to do the right thing but has been rendered ineffective because of his torn loyalties. So that's the main conflict that he needs to deal with now. Can he finally pull the trigger on ruthlessly dealing with Cersei or will he remain torn and attempt a half-measure that he thinks will solve everything but actually blow up in his face?

I’ve seen some real gems this morning from the Dany haters, including that she will stage a RW type massacre to kill Jon and Sansa after the battle, and that she will willingly become the NQ because she’s so upset about Jon’s reveal. Talk about clutching at straws in the final hours.

Can he finally pull the trigger on ruthlessly dealing with Cersei or will he remain torn and attempt a half-measure that he thinks will solve everything but actually blow up in his face? I think his torn loyalties were always, in part, due to his love for Jaime as well. Tyrion seemed to put up with Cersei's hatred of him for Jaime's sake and Jaime loved Tyrion despite his Father and Cersei. Now that Jaime has finally left Cersei for good and joined with Tyrion's side, the torn loyalties are less of a problem. Tyrion made a mistake and listened to Cersei, but now that Jaime's left her and Tyrion knows for certain he can never trust her word, he will be more likely to pull the trigger, just as he did with his Father.

Nope! As soon as I knew they were going to cut off the episode where they did, with that look Daenerys gave Jon before the battle begins, I knew we were in for a whole new level of crazy from the fandom. They've been doing this every season - predicting Dany's madness coming out. These writers are really good at keeping that going every episode!
