I wonder what the over-under is on getting the ice spiders. It could be they're a monster effect the show's wanted to do in seasons past but saved til now like they did with the wight bear in 706. Or it could be it's something cut for good for budgetary reasons. But you have to wonder about their mention in ep. 508 when they hadn't been brought up since s1.
Generally they'd be a pretty difficult effect to pull off. But it could be, strategically, that the NK needs a wild card right about now. After all, after Sam killed the WW with dragonglass they started wearing armour instead of just walking around in loincloths. In the same I'd suppose it's plausible that that they'd want to utilize a new sort of troop after our heroes learnt that killing WWs drops off the wights they've turned. The ice spiders could be just that. But I could as easily see them being cut.

Sandor because I'd think it would tie nicely with both Clegane brothers being resurrected, the Mountain by necromancy and forced to serve while the Hound would be given a new life by a friend and through the Fire God he so despises. Also I think we will see Sandor with a flaming sword before the end. Jaime is just because I think the character who will be resurrected will also be in the books, and I think there's a chance that Jaime dies in the books but LSH has to give her life for his because she is made to understand that Jaime has to live. If her fate is not to be mercy-killed by Arya. Sandor was already "reborn" in a way. But it would be pretty cool as you've pointed out. Jaime not really, His main purpose is still Cersei and he's fighting NK only because of their child, their future. There is no connection here between these two so it has to be someone Beric has interacted before and owes or someone who plays a big part in the war against NK. It might just be that kiss of life is gonna be only a book thing and not on the show. |

They cut the elephants, I don't think they'd be so cruel to also cut the ice spiders  |

A few theories about tonight's episode I'm seeing floating around on the 'mainstream' internet sites since I steer clear of the sites that have actual real spoiler/leak stuff:
- The Night King doesn't even show up at Winterfell and instead takes Viserion straight to King's Landing
- The tunnels beneath the crypts aren't a way out, they're a way IN (for the undead) ... eek.
- The little girl with the burnt face is actually Melisandre in glamour form and she will literally defend the crypt. (This one made me laugh a bit)
Not my theories, but the first one has some merit and we've talked about it a bit in speculation here.

They could be...just ordinary kids, or Qyburn's sparrows or Varys' little birds...or perhaps, red priestesses. |

I'm more inclined to think they're possibly Qyburn or Varys little birds - though that doesn't really seem to make a lot of sense for the plot - why do they need to spy on a massacre about to happen where they will probably die? They could also be Faceless Men ... that one's more complicated to consider. |

I definitely think if Beric will resurrect someone, it's either Jaime or Sandor. What I know (what I think I know) for sure is that Sandor has to live to get back to KL - because Cleganebowl, but seriously, if he has Beric's flaming sword to use in that, what poetic justice that would be! ETA: I agree with moiaf above that Mel won't show up till KL. 'Way too much already going on in 8.3, methinks. |
