Dany may be pregnant but I wouldn’t look at the costumes for clues. Dany never showed in season 1 and Cersei still isn’t showing. For whatever reason, the show just doesn’t like showing the progression of time in regards to pregnancies. Well, as @fireandblood said, if she's only 6-8 weeks along, she's not going to show at all. Most women won't start to have a bump until around 16 weeks on average. Again, depending on body type. But we also have to remember this is a show that didn't age Gilly's baby for like the first 2 years of his life either. True but at this point Cersei must be like 5 months pregnant and she still isn’t showing 😂🤷♀️

Would Dany even know she’s pregnant? The usual hint of missing a period isn’t a telltale option. The only way she’d know is if there are clues like food cravings which she had before or the bump or morning sickness. She might not know until she’s about 4-5 months pregnant. Her finding out in episode 4 is a stretch.

Funny how Jon and Dany’s relationship is like 1 month old and they already need a fix it baby.
Tragic.

For whatever reason, the show just doesn’t like showing the progression of time in regards to pregnancies. You're all missing the point of what I was trying to say. I'm not saying that she's showing, I'm saying that her costume was constructed in such a way that it gave the illusion from certain angle that she was pregnant. Thus, making the audience think that she looks pregnant. So, when the pregnancy is announced it's something the audience could see coming. I note this because unlike the larger more flowing skirts of Westerns costumes, Dany's have always been very form fitting and structured, particularly last season.

Her finding out in episode 4 is a stretch. It has to be more than a month, just cause of travel time. But medieval women figured out there were pregnant much like modern women do, by missing their period. Nothing has ever been made of Dany having irregular periods so assuming she get's her period every four weeks, the second she starts skipping, she might become suspicious, especially because shes been sexually active.

I just disagree because I tried looking for the same thing in regards to Cersei throughout all the promo and it just ended up being dead wrong. dany could very well be pregnant but Clapton and D&D aren’t going to hint it through her costumes imo

I note this because unlike the larger more flowing skirts of Westerns costumes, Dany's have always been very form fitting and structured, particularly last season. I still think that white striped fur coat-dress is very misleading because it's made of puffier material. Here's her profile with it: The gray dress is more slim-fit yet still has panels in the front that makes it appear wider/puffier: In those cases, I'd say it's easy to hide a pregnancy under there. These dresses are made of fur and leather though, so they make Dany look a little wider overall because again, Emilia is a tiny thing so any heavy material is going to look big on her. If you're talking about the hemline being higher in the front than the back of the dresses, I did notice that but I don't think most fans would notice that. This cut it similar to how maternity dresses fit since the baby bump pushes the front out and thus the hemline is higher. But yeah, I'm willing to entertain the idea that the costumes are purposely ambiguous or puffy to be more concealing - or maybe just because it's colder and they wanted to make her look more bundled up.

Clapton has been very opened about how much she uses the costumes to tell part of the story, so yes, I do believe she very well used the structuring of the costume to hint at a pregnancy.

When she was sat in the great hall at the head of the table my mum passed the comment about how tiny her waist is. She looks anything but pregnant.

I don't think so. It's clear that they've setup a scenario where Sansa will outsmart Tyrion, when she told him in episode 1 that he's not as smart as he thinks he is. This is that scenario. Tyrion is going to betray Dany and perhaps even the Starks, that was setup last season. I'm just putting two and two together. It is a reach. A scarf is not a clue that Sansa is secretly a Dany supporter. That wouldn't even make sense. Their positions are diametrically opposed to one another. What reason would she have? Also, it's just a scarf

Also, it's just a scarf I don't know, Dany just saved everyone's life with her army and her dragons. Had she not been there, the dead would have swarmed over Winterfell and everyone would be dead. Sansa might be grateful to her for that. Again, nothing in the way Michele Clapton creates costumes is by accident. She's methodical and detailed. You can ignore that if you want.

I'm inclined to say she'll be more grateful for her sister killing the NK, but I doubt Sansa will be sporting Arya's costume next episode.

Sansa has never worn an ascot, it's not part of any northern fashion but you think t's a coincidence that she happens to wear the same ascot that Dany wears. Okay.
