They didn't really give away much, short season 7 production clip, info that they'll start filming in august and finish in february and confirmation that Sapochnik will be directing in season 8 (or I took it as confirmation as he said he hopes to return and Weiss nodded). I'm glad to hear Sapochnik will be back but disappointed not for Season 7. Has there been any word from him why not, such as filming something else or ...? He's absolutely fantastic at really capturing the story so perfectly. I imagine he's had tons of job offers after his GoT success. Tried to do some digging around but no luck finding what he's working on now. He probably just needs a nice break. His two episodes were like a full season's worth of work for any other director on another show.

Plus he worked two years in a row and spent nearly as much time as he did on 609 on Hardhome the previous year. So he deserves a break. Tbh I'm surprised Mylod's doing three years in a row. That must be taxing.

The actors only have to be there for their individual scenes which only makes up a portion of an episode or season but the directors have to be there long hours every single day for weeks on end. I can imagine after how long it took them to do Battle of the Bastards, Sapochnik said "I need a vacation!"

Also Sapochnik has had the longest episodes combined of any director in the past 2 seasons so I imagine that he's exhausted.

If you consider Sapochnik began pre-production of season 6 around May 2015, and he probably finished post-production in June 2016, that's more than a year working on those 2 episodes.

I finally gave in and had a look at the discussion about the stuff drunk!Sophie said at Comiccon. JFC. This fandome is so fucked up. You have really great fans like the people you find here but man there is a large or voistorous portion seem to be fucnking crazy. WTF, Sophie can't have opinions? She's entitle to have one and it doesn't have to be in line with your own. Like I said before she's not so off about Jon's shortcomings, which by the way were highlighted in the Battle of the Bastards. But let's not talk about that, let's complain about Sophie and her "hating on Jon and Kit".

I have to say though, I'm still really hating this whole "Sansa will turn on Jon, Sansa felt ripped off"-thing. Jon offered her Winterfell, there is no reason for Sansa to have resentment towards him. And I can not believe Sansa being so stupid as to trust LF and start plotting against her family, she really can't choose a villanous asshole over her family, not again. She has to be smarter this time around.
So, I'm counting on this all being just a marketing thing and them trying to keep the hype going. And trying to throw us off, hiding LF's early demise next season.

And trying to throw us off, hiding LF's early demise next season. They've done the misdirection thing in the past, it's easy to work up the audience into thinking one thing is going to happen so that they can spin it around and surprise everyone. I'm really baffled so many people still fall for this when the actors say subtle little teasing things in interviews that are the exact opposite ... do none of these fools watch The Walking Dead? Far more blunt misdirection on purpose done on that show with far more ridiculous attempts to fool the audience. It's way more subtle with GoT but it's still the same sleight-of-hand tricks. Sansa clearly told Jon "Only a fool would trust Littlefinger" and now this outrage from the fans at Comic Con remarks has the entire collective general audience looking like fools. I feel about 99% confident this is all just bullshit head-games off screen.

I agree that the Sansa vs Jon thing won't last long. Sansa is and always be a Stark. And I agree with what a few of you said earlier - that when she finds out about Jon's true parentage (or when Bran comes back home) there will be a re-bonding of the Stark family, solidifying things.
I know we all know Sophie was drunk as a skunk, but did anyone else catch her doing shots out of her water bottle cap during the panel? Watch her and Iwan. I'm pretty sure his bottle was vodka, not water....it's not very full. FUNNY STUFF!!!

^ Iwan seemed pretty sober though. I watched a couple of interviews with him and I think I can tell that. (After all, we males can take more alcohol than a woman. It is known.)

The second part. Sophie Turner is drunk. FUCKING CONFIRMED. I stand corrected, King Tyrion I! you are correct, it isn't Iwan, it's FAYE the Enabler!! At 17:45, Sophie asks Faye something and at 18:00 Faye reaches down to get something "secret like"...at 18:45, she hands Sophie the cap back under the table and Sophie drinks the shot. Iwan nods his approval at her deviousness. Too funny

She's got Ramsay on one side, and Varys on the other. Girl's gotta drink in that situation.
