Welcome to The House with The Red Door! Yeah I think there's a definitely good chance that we do get a flashback of the Tourney at Harrenhal. iheartseverus created this thread on that - housewiththereddoor.freeforums.net/thread/74/season-toj-6x10-harrenhal-more Although I'm not sure how many flashbacks we will get, I guess that depends on when Bran crosses the Wall. I agree with you about Jon visiting Lyanna's tomb once Bran tells him about his true parentage and finding the wedding cloak inside.

Do you have to have a login for Tower of the Hand to read the article? It takes me to the comments but not the actual blog post article.

I just now figured it out, I hadn't selected the seasons filter box at the top so it wasn't showing me anything. Clever spoiler tag method.

Great article! You were indeed lucky to draw the last episode to theorize about Season 7. I liked your predictions, especially the parts about Jon assigning Houses to repair and man the various castles on the wall - that's not something I had ever considered as I figured it would just fall with the few remaining handful of Night's Watch destroyed. Your alternative would give some cool setup scenes at the wall as well as politics and drama to go along with the great defense plans coming together. I do hope we get more history of what all went down during Robert's Rebellion via Bran's visions. Benjen left him just near the wall, not a long ways for Meera to carry him on another sled (she'll have to make another) so I suspect the wall's magic to go down early on if that's the way they are going to do it. Maybe the Night King actually has to be there to activate the magic in whatever he did to Bran as he did at the opening to the Tree cave? Cersei allying with Euron is a popular theory here among our small group as well so I do think it would at least even the sides a bit, otherwise Dany's massive fleet and dragon's is overkill.

Fantastic write up dje. I really enjoyed the speculation going forward. Thanks for sharing. Love LF getting executed for sins against the Starks and Sandor presenting those sins. Any thoughts about Brienne/Pod?

I wonder how HBO feels about these flashbacks. Do they see potential series and subscriptions falling through the cracks everytime we get more backstory stuff? Seeing the Tower of Joy in a prequel series is pretty much spoiled now. It makes me think we'll get some other era in that universe rather than RR.

Seeing the Tower of Joy in a prequel series is pretty much spoiled now. It makes me think we'll get some other era in that universe rather than RR. I think I'd rather see bits and pieces of Robert's Rebellion (at least the most relevant parts) via flashback and any spinoff series they did be for some other era of the world. It would be interesting to know if they've even had this sort of negotiation or talks with D&D about it at all. Like others, I think those guys are really done with the story after this. They've been working on it year round for so long, they are probably ready to quit and move on after a long break.

Any thoughts about Brienne/Pod? I think they return back North, and serve Jon/Sansa. Possibly join Jon's Kingsguard, if he elects to have a Kingsguard.

They've been working on it year round for so long, they are probably ready to quit and move on after a long break. HBO owns the rights to adapt ASOIAF, but after that it's anybody guess. GRRM has hinted that he thinks their is story to be told with Dunk and Egg and not necessarily RR. He's probably partially fearful that more details will come out of RR that's he saving for the books and a new series will launch the first two seasons before GRRM can get ADOS out... The one (or two) X factor in the new series is D&D. HBO seems to be bed with those guys (and rightfully so). D&D are ready to move on or at least take a significant break. So to get another show, I think HBO is going to have give EP credits to D&D and let them kind of that fingerprint on the new series without doing a ton of work and letting them profit anyway. In the end, there is too much revenue to watch this universe expire and a new series will be coming.

I would love to see a Dunk and Egg series, I think it would make more sense to do that one first, especially if we get more revealed via flashbacks next season of RR, then after the Dunk and Egg series, maybe D&D are ready for another GoT series and we get RR.
