Which character do you guys think had the strongest arc this season? Cersei. Went from psychologically broken shell of a self in episode 1 to super-human Nietzschean war general and rightful queen in episode 10 I have to agree that as far as rapid turnarounds go, Cersei is right up there with the best with her 180 degree transformation by the end of the season! Daenerys and Jon both had massive evolutions too.

But we never actually thought it'd happen, or that it would be so

Now that TheArchmaester 's here, I can get a little more solidarity when I curse the names Davos and Jon for their cruel banishment of the angel Melisandre for her supposed crimes.

Was what Melisandre did technically murder, in the legal sense? Stannis told her to do it, and since it came from the "King"... it's legal, surely?

I think when it comes from the king it's technically legal within that society. But: Legality =/= Morality So I do think that Melisandre is to blame as well, but I don't want her to die just yet. She's too interesting and Carice is amazing. Ninja'd by Lord @roose Bolton.

Mel is above such petty things as morality. And Stan sanctioned the shit anyhow. If anything Mel should be made Jon's Hand of the King. But if he wants to fuck up and send away angels that's his loss. She don't need him anyhow.

In 6x09 when Davos and Tormund discuss Stannis and Mance, Davos says something like "demons whispered foul things to Stannis" and Tormund asks what demons, I think Davos should've said "The Red Woman" instead of "It's a manner of speaking, I didn't mean real demons". Tormund later mentioned Mel in their discussion, but IMO that would've been a great opportunity.

Since it was something completely immoral, but it was ordered by the "King".

So just a classic poopy mistake really. Yeah. He couldn't really take her life after she brought him back. Of course Jon really didn't want to come back, but anyway. So exiling her was the only option if he wanted to keep Davos on his side.
