I have to admit I usually find Jon Snow scenes to be a total snooze fest, but I was really feeling him this episode.

Same. His interactions with his family members make me remember how much I was in loved with the Starks back in the first season.

I know realistically Jon will have a hard time accepting that he's technically the rightful king, but I'd love for him to send Glover a raven telling him he's king now and to get his ass back to Winterfell.

After years of wondering what the scene will be like when Jon's parentage is revealed to him, the one we got certainly wasn't what I'd imagined. And I think that's a good thing, I liked that there was other motivation for Sam telling it than just to let him know and I liked that the reveal was done quite fast and straight up. It felt natural to me.

Pretty crazy reveal by Hibberd in his episode recap that the Bronn scene wasn't just written in S7 but shot then as well to be in the finale and then they decided to move it to this ep. Is that a first for the show?
Also, the timeline would have probably worked better if that conversation were from the S7 finale since Bronn (I assume) is going to be at Winterfell pretty quickly.

The only other scene I could think of was when Arya retrieved Needle in 606 after she hid it under the rocks. They never returned to Sibenik, Croatia in S6, but it was filmed at the same harbor so it was shot while they were there the year before.

Lyanna Mormont needs to be addressed, she called Jon nothing in front of all his lords and family nobody said a word. Really? "A King? A Lord? Nothing?" Maybe the dragons need a change of diet to get their appetite going. Does Northerner now equal clueless. This is right up there with Sam's comment about would she sacrifice her crown. Wtf you think slavers bay was? And those were not even her people, just people who needed help.
Look I agree with Davos, that if you want the Northern loyalty you gotta earn it. But Jesus people you may want to pay attention to your situation. Your entire country has been evacuated to Winterfell, for a reason. You have been preparing for war for a reason. The Wall has fallen. Your strongest ally arrives and you start off by treating them like dirt. There is stubborn and their is stupid. It's not even perspective, it's a 100 percent lack of any situational awareness. Nobody can earn anything if you don't give them a chance. Will see what happens when Tormund arrives with a giant ass reality check, hey idiots it's coming tonight.
Also, on a side note man did they shrink the dragons? Jon looks huge on Rhaegal. He can't be more than 100 feet. Jon's cape is a third the way down it's back. It's probably just a special effects issue but also when they approached them they looked smaller than last season.

I understand they needed to get Bronn out of KL and to Winterfell but they probably shouldn't have had that scene at all and just had him tag along with Jaime in the first place. If Cersei wanted to kill Jaime, she could have had the Mountain do it in their final confrontation, why would you then immediately turn around and try (in a really half-assed way) to have his good friend chase him down to murder him and Tyrion, who he's probably even better friends with? If nothing else, Bronn getting offered castles and hot wives all the time and never getting them is one of the better running gags the show has going.

I didn't take issue with Lyanna, I'd be asking questions like that too, even in that situation. They're thinking long term.

I don’t think it’s wrong for them to be concerned over titles and shit. Because when the Long Night ends, life will go on. So these things do need to be talked about and planned, because if not, then the North would just be a free for all.

But she’s delusion, it wouldn’t click in her head that Bronn would probably not obey her. Not being listened to never occurs to her until it’s too late.

So these things do need to be talked about and planned, because if not, then the North would just be a free for all. Yep. It's also human nature not to take things seriously (even catastrophic, apocalyptic things) until they see it with their very own eyes. Jon, Bran, Tormund have seen it. Sansa, Arya, the Northern Lords have not. Sansa is thinking ahead (the only good lesson Littlefinger taught her), which makes perfect sense from her POV. This is why Winterfell falling to the white walkers makes sense. They won't understand what's coming until it's actually upon them.
