With Lads2 being confirmed legit and Euron returning to Cersei with the Golden Company, it's possible that Jaime, Sandor and Theon could deal with all three in the same episode in KL. Maybe there's a Great Council of Winterfell in 801 and they decide: Jon, Dany, Arya, Bran, Sam, Brienne, Davos, Gendry, Jorah, and Tormund stay up north to fight the WW. Mel maybe returns later on. Sansa, Tyrion, Jaime, Sandor, and Theon go south to KL to deal with Cersei, Euron, and the Mountain. Not sure how far fetched that is. I think it would take a few episodes for them to determine something like that. Once it becomes clear that Cersei and Euron aren't only not helping them but are actually actively making the fight more difficult for them (I suspect both will think of ways to profit from the situation ie. hording food or in Euron's case charging people to ferry them away from the WW threat and extorting them etc.). My guess is we'll keep our human villains in the picture until very near the end of the season. And I think they'll give Jaime a chance to fight some wights and WWs before sending him south again.

Jaime will also need enough time to bone Brienne. Particularly if he ends up dying alongside Cersei, he'll need to at least get that settled.

I'm sure Varys will be scheming against Cersei once her betrayal becomes apparent, as will Tyrion. I don't see either of them being particularly useful in a fight against a zombie horde. Sansa could totally be a factor in them working to depose Cersei.
There's also probably going to be some Euron v Cersei thing going on. Euron is treacherous af, and he seems to serve Cersei without much reward in S7. If he comes to KL with a giant army, he might make some demands that I'm sure Cersei will not appreciate.
I bet Jaime will have some important role in a climactic WW battle. He'll probably save Bran or Sansa or something, but I don't see him being a part of the final NK confrontation. That's for Jon and Dany. After Jaime gets a few heroic moments in during the Long Night, he'll probably be compelled to come back south to help fight Cersei. And then my precious Lionbowl will happen....

I'm with TheMadQueen on thinking Varys, Tyrion, and Sansa will have the biggest hand in dealing with Cersei. I just hope she gets to blow some more shit up first. And yes to Jaime and Brienne happening. I need that ship

I'm sure Varys will be scheming against Cersei I think it already begins in the Dragonpit when he speaks with his Little Bird there.

Deleted my post because it sounds completely ridiculous, but you're right they would definitely need a few episodes to figure that out and for all of those characters to even reach Winterfell. I do think The Night King will aim for Winterfell probably around early/mid season before they all start retreating south and since Jaime would now have Widow's wail, him killing some wights before he goes south to deal with Cersei would make sense. As you, TheMadQueen, and day dreamer now just mentioned (I think we can all agree at this point), I can't see Sansa, Tyrion, Varys having a role in the north with the WW threat so them going south to deal with Cersei is the best bet. And then Jaime would return south towards the end of the season.

Whatever's happening, I always enjoy any scenes featuring the smallfolk. alcasinoroyale has theorized that the smallfolk will really be out for Cersei's blood in S8, and I'm inclined to agree. Maybe they do something and riot in the city and storm the Red Keep or something. That'll give her some incentive to burn some more shit down mwahahaha

Lol we can theorize all we want and so many theories are SO good but most of the theories I'm reading fir season 8 that aren't the very end just don't scream D&D to me lol.
Like the kind of feeling I got when I saw Lads2 leaks for the first time and thought they screamed d&d's writing style right from the instinct

I thought about that, but then I remember during filming that the wagons looked like they were burned. Lads2 said Cersei was able to convince Tycho to give her a line of credit for the Golden Company because she said that Dany's rule is unpredictable both politically and financially.
