That's kind of creepy. Reminds me a bit of this scene from The Sopranos.

I don't think it was ever outlawed, they just don't do it because the religion of the Seven doesn't like it. I think the whole thing is meant to be ambiguous, which I think it's the GRRM likes things. Which is why I think in the books the whole legitimate/not legitimate question is going to be way more complex and interesting. Not like it really matters but anyway.

This is random as hell, but... I think it's interesting that there is no High Septon now.
The old septons of the Faith hated the High Sparrow and his revolutionary tendencies, so I had assumed that one of them would have been named High Septon by now, perhaps chosen by Cersei. The Faith may be sad that Cersei blew up the Sept but I think mostly they'd be thankful that the High Sparrow is gone.
However, Jaime plainly states that there is no High Septon. Maybe Cersei explicitly prohibited the emergence of a new High Septon, which is huge and would mean that the Crown is officially 100% secular now.
With Westeros potentially having no official religion anymore, R'hllor could be getting a great number of easy converts next season. Something has to fill that void.

With Westeros potentially having no official religion anymore, R'hllor could be getting a great number of easy converts next season. I think R'hllor will play an important part in the next season...and the books. I'm not crazy about the Lord of Light between Mel and Moqorro, but I have a real problem with the Faith of the Seven as well. The old gods tend to like blood sacrifice, so they are downright scary. In real life, religion is a gray area. All of them have been guilty of horrible things and I think GRRM wants us to know that nothing is sacred. As Jaime said...about spilling blood in holy places..."the gods won't mind...they've spilled more blood than all of us combined."

This dagger looks so "plasticy" I cannot take it seriously. Damn it.

I don't think so, the handle is obsidian, and it says you can't make a cross guard from Dragonglass. Valyrian steel, is based off Damascus steel, it's folded, that's why it has ripples. Like Damascus still it is lighter, stronger and sharper, plus it's darker and the secret to making it was lost. Valyrians had high magic, the stone singers used to be able to forge castles out of stone using magic, and roads, like tha Vayrian road which is also black. It's the spells that make the steel magical, and chances are blood magic is involved, hits lie with Nissa Nissa who parallels the Night King. I think she may have been a Red Priestess which turned the Valyrian steel into a flaming blade. I think Valyrian steel is cooled in a blood sacrifice. Much like Lightbringer was. You could sprinkle in some powdered obsidian to darkest the color some. But I am 100% positive they don't turn volcanic glass to metal.

The ghost of Catelyn Stark watches over her children, its fucking confirmed. It's strange that she appears twice too and she is the only one you see walking around in that scene. Maybe she is doing laps around the set. While clearly one of them is LSH, the second is Ashara Dayne, she came to visit Neds crypt. She's alive and she brought Dawn to fight the war for the dawn with, and not the crappy one from Brans vision but the real Dawn the white light saber of awesome. It has to be, there is a conjunction of the sun and moon today it marks the unity of opposition and celebrates Jon meeting Dany. Even the Universe knows the theory is right. Let it begin, let it begin! But when it begins make sure to wear protective eye wear, don't want to go blind looking at it.

I don't think so, the handle is obsidian In the books the handle is made of dragon bone. I don't know if that was ever mentioned on the show or if this one is supposed to represent that. I am not saying I agree with the theory that dragonglass and valyrian steel are somehow working in tandem here but it is curious they put this particular dagger on a page of a book talking about dragonglass and no mention of steel at all in that passage of the book.

Ah ok, good. I couldn't remember if they mentioned it or not. That means we can't assume the dagger is drawn in a book about dragonglass because it's handle is made of it or whatever. There has to be some more important reason they put the dagger on that specific page. John Bradley has also confirmed the director very specifically told him to linger a bit on that page before turning it so the camera could get a close-up of it on screen. They know fans love to analyze this kind of stuff and they do leave clues so this has to be one but I can't figure out why other than to establish that both dragonglass AND valyrian steel can kill White Walkers which we already knew anyways since we've seen it done with both.

Also, for anyone who didn't read the Nerdist article on the theory I linked, here's their translation of the page where the dagger is shown:

World book had a lot of that kind of stuff in it, but I saw Martin on this show talking about the book for an hour, and he talked about all kinds of stuff like that. He also talked about Valyrian steel. The handle is Dragonbone? So it's the only Dragonbone on the show that is the right color. Haha. Those skulls would of looked so cool if they were black. The show can make it out of whatever they like. i still hate that dagger, looks like they got it at toys r' us. The Kingsguard book gave us some fun facts but nothing substantial. I'll say one thing that dagger is going to be important, and not because of anything spoiler related. But they are really playing up the Valyrian steel. Arya gone bag some of the Others.
