In which episode is Daenerys arrive on Dragonstone happening if she only has one scene in ep. 1? Her arrival on the shore, walk over the sand, pulling of the old banners off? When does this happen? I might have missed something. It's all in the premiere. It will be one big sequence of her arriving and end in the table room where she has only one line to Tyrion. Oh, I love the quiet approach, it's going to be so intense and solemn, I get chills just thinking about it, can't wait to actually see scene.

Even though they have shown almost every photo of her from boat to throne, watching Dany return to the place of her birth is going to be a powerful scene. I can only imagine the thoughts running through her head, walking through hallways she's only heard about, seeing Aegon's throne, wow.
Is Mel supposed to be at Dragonstone when Dany arrives, or does she come shortly thereafter? I'm interested in the new Mel, defeated and thrown away. How will she respond to three dragons? While not my favorite character, I like the job the actress has done. Did she see those suckers in the flames? If not, I'd say the Lord of Light has been using her.

Yeah, the "coming home" scene is going to be so powerful, I will probably hold my breath for the whole duration of it. I'm so happy Dragonstone was picked (probably for geographical reason) as the location of her first step on Westerosi soil. Historically the place is tied to her through her ancestors, it was the first Seat of Aegon the Conqueror also the Dragonglass, the Dragon staues and those caves and that magnificent Throne...not to mention she was born on Dragonstone... Speaking of Mel, a character I love, I would love to hear her thoughts over this arrival, truly the Red God had been keeping things from her if she had never seen Daenerys' children, what I would really love is a voiceover from Mel telling how Daenerys was born on Dragonstone, amidst smoke and tears...even if I think her real "birth" happened at the pyre...Stannis being in Dragonstone was what fooled Mel the first time...or maybe, maybe she wasn't fooled and the Red God was not keeping secrets from her, maybe she was the means to bring together Ice and Fire... she didn't do anything in particular to bring Daenerys and Jon together BUT she did bring Jon back to the living world...allowing him to become KitN and to start his Season Seven Journey to Fire.

maybe she was the means to bring together Ice and Fire.. If Shireen was burned for this in the books I will become quite upset. I'd rather Mel be an idiot than Shireen have died just to bring Jon and Dany together.

I remember long debates on the other forum after Season 6 concluded. I was the first one to say I was sure they'd have her land at Dragonstone and I remember arguing this with a few people who didn't think that was a good idea or wasn't going to happen. Then later in the year once filming started, I was SO EXCITED my guess was right and they were recreating Dragonstone in Spain on that beautiful beach with the cool jagged rocks. So perfect.

I didn't mean for everything that Mel did to be justified or excused in case her destiny was to bring Daenerys and Jon together, especially because they would have ended together no matter what, imo. What she accomplished by burning Shireen I have no idea, I know what she was aiming for and her aim was spectacularly off... but did she get something from it? Anything at all? I don't think so. And yet we know that she has access to magic. I have no clue.

I am so very glad you were right! So very glad! And it truly was the best idea. Plus the parallels!!!! No other place would have offered us the parallels...also Jon and Daenerys bonding in a cave...cave are so special for him...*cough*Lord Kiss*cough*

but did she get something from it? I don't think so. I used to think Shireen's death may have been what brought Jon to life ("only death can pay for life") with the blood magic thing, but I'm not so sure about that anymore. Besides, Thoros apparently brought Beric back to life without a sacrifice so probably not. The Shireen thing really does seem so senseless and unecessary but I guess that's the point.

more likely that cersei will kiss her very intensely so her heart rate increases pretty fast.

I don't want there to be any payoff for Shireen's burning, I want it to be pointless and horrible. I really don't want anyone to gain anything from burning little girls, nothing justifies doing that and nothing good should follow from it.

I've had these same arguments for years. I've always said she would land on Dragonstone. It's the only place in Westeros she has any actual connection to, and quite a powerful one at that. Dany landing in Dorne would have been awful.

But now everyone is saying it is predictable and they knew for years that she will land there. Lol

If she dies the same way in the books, I hope it remains a pointless act of cruelty that brings nothing good to anyone.

Lol I don't consider it predictable, I consider it absolutely perfect and fitting, however I always preferred logic and symbolic narrative over the unexpected. Plot twist gives me whiplash Beside I feel like any bit of Martin writing is preceded by a lot of crumbs on the way, although he leaves so many that is hard to pick which road he will take, still more like beautiful, layered writing than unpredictable writing, imo. The direction he takes things to is often surprising.
